Collapse into nothingness.

Word gets out- through the lesser spirits of earth and air, through the birds, through the trees, through the vines. Nature recoils and the emissaries of the spirit world shudder. Atop the tower of Aetius itself- the flat base, rather than inside- the signs of a ritual begin.

Even dragons find it impossible to fly up to this level without taking significant risks during the process of the ritual. The only safe way to appear is through Wayfinding. 
Every wayfinder present on the event can safely bring THREE other people with them.

Anyone who wants to brute force attend by flying or any other reasonable means must roll on an injury chart- the worst result being a -40 perm. If you have no reasonable way to climb, you can not attend. No, you cannot carry people on your back.

This is a public event with loot scaling to those involved. Expect 1 in every 2 participants to get basic loot, and then some fixed superior loot. It is chance of injury- a -40 perm is the worst result possible in this event.
