Alastor Garfield (WIP)

Through out his youth, Alastor had lived a normal average life in a house of nobility almost everything was given to him  on a silver platter. His lessons consisted of reading and writing, mathematics, history, magical studies, defense against dark arts, alchemy, and Runes. His studies went by without any issues towards the magic lessons. Where he was first taught to harness mana and call forth the element that would be a part of him and as a start his first element that he learned was Occult Magic. Seeing as how this would be a issue to some mages through out the world and how most would lean towards Necromancy. He was given a staff to hopefully regulate his magic and focus it, but with every staff he had gotten it had broken after 3 uses. 

Worried about this his instructor began pouring through staves trying to find one to suit his needs, but to no avail each one had either broken or refused to take Alastor's mana. The teacher showed more worry, seeing as how the boy's mana was difficult to tame and researching through each and every tome and scroll he had to find something to contain the occult magic that his student had obtained. While the teacher was busy, Alastor had grabbed one of the teachers personal grimoires on occult magic and began to study on his own. His studies seemed to have been enough for him to summon a weak demon, one that was more animal like and use the book as a catalyst to cast magic. He had recalled that some mages forge pacts with demons to use them in battle and had done so unknowing of the actual effects it would have on him later on in life. Realizing this he showed his teacher who was astonish by the boy's accomplishment and continued training him from there. Using a grimoire in the place of a staff was rare, but not too uncommon along with summoning a demon on the first try and forming a pact with out the proper instructions.

After years of hard work and studying at the age of 18, he was given a chance to go on into the world to further extend the reach of his abilities where ever he so wished. He applied at The Osrona Imperial Mage's Academy and University to hopefully reach the point of learning more spells and summoning more demons to aid him in any upcoming fights. Along with making some allies and learning any other elements he could.

You'll want to use a different name, since 'Azrael' is a lore figure of note. You can find references to that on the wiki. 

Auron or Alastor might be a good replacement, but it's up to you! I'll delete my post once you've corrected things.

Alastor is the name of the best Azrael faithful to this date, so it might be a good choice indeed.

(internal joke aside) You might want to use some random name generator and/or name lists, usually for British (since your character's last name is Garfield). Jon Garfield would be pretty epic, ngl

I'll use Alastor, thanks. Also question, would it be wrong if I made myself apart of the house of Duran, not knowing of their past?
