The Goldlight-Sponsored Uniform Contest [2105-2109]
#1

2105AC marks another year, where The Order´s overworked Heralds and courier squads are once more tasked with travelling to the cities across the peninsula of Meranthe, although with perhaps more of an unusual selection of flyers compared to the norm.

Quote:Tailor, Smith, Armorer or Designer!
In need of coinage to fund your talents?
Got your hands on some finished designs without a use?
Then look no further to satisfy those funding needs!

Uniforms, be it dress uniforms for more formal gatherings or stylized armor for battle, are vital for any organization, not solely just for first opinions, from a visual standing, but also for critical factors such as presentation and morale.
As such, the Goldlight Order seeks to expand its selection of not just uniforms but armor for our valiant guard, spread across our many duty wings, and who better to reach out to than the talented artists across the Land of Aemir!

To those interested in this competition?
Simply submit a design, either in person or through letter, directly to the Council of Captains or the Knight-Commander himself, with no upper limit for how many submissions can be sent!
Use any theme to your hearts content, in what you envision as befitting, with the most noteworthy or thematically beloved ones having a higher chance of acquiring a payout.

The winning submissions, for first place, will earn a prize pool of anywhere between 50,000 crowns, to 100,000 crowns for their fine work.
And even those that may not take the top spot have a high chance of being paid for quality submissions, anywhere from 5,000 crowns to 50,000.

Disclaimer:
  • Designers reserve the right to withdraw submissions as long as a prize is not accepted. Proper schematics need only be given after the winning designs are announced, but before the prize money is given.
  • Design schematics need not be included when submitting a design, only a portrait of a model wearing it, or any similar example demonstrating the uniform in full.
  • Variable prize pool has been put in place to reward higher quality, or even more noteworthy, submissions for their hard work, to avoid designers with quality submissions from walking out empty handed.
  • At the request of designers, for more complex submissions, the full uniform need not be finalized and ready to ship when submitting, as long as there is a basic outline in mind. Crown payout will be given out once finalized, but this will extend the work time beyond the closing deadline for the contest.
  • For any special requests, questions or anything else, feel free to contact the Knight-Commander himself, Garret Richter, regarding submissions or the competition in general.

Contest closure, and winning design announcement:
2109AC - (29th of February)

Some OOC clarifications:
  • Yes, this is an IC contest for faction armor designs, with an ingame money payout (Too poor for commissions sadly)

  • Entered submissions should only be stuff you are allowed to utilize (Your own designs, a public sprite with edits, or anything with permission from the original spriter).

  • It is 100 percent fine to withdraw your submission at any time, even after the results are announced.

  • The final disclaimer is effectively going "This is basically a 3 week contest, and animation states can be a pain, so if you have an idea and want to submit it even if its only the basic look, its fine, and it will count for full prizes. We can wait for it to be finished over time."
