Blood and Fate
#1
A set of notices spring up across Meranthe, put up in most settlements with the aid of couriers and third parties.

"To whomever has found themselves in possession of an hourglass of eternite, filled with auguria sands, bound by blood, and with a seemingly simple, steel sword as the handle?

Return it to me, Elizabeth Montelione.
I will not ask how you acquired it. I will not question it. I will not come kicking your door down seeking retribution.

If, however, this remains taken from me? The last memento I have of my beloved Renee?
Like Eden, your home shall burn. You and those around you will pay the price.

So ask yourself this... Is a somewhat powerful focus worth this price with the amount of effort you must do to undo its bindings? Or would you rather rid yourself of the target you have picked up?
Think carefully...

A second set of notices has gone out now.

To those who have it.
We know where you are. We know you have it.
I'm still willing to simply overlook this matter if it is returned to me. But if not? Let's just say...
What happened to Eden might very well soon happen to your settlement as well.

The notices have been taken down, and some that see the newly crowned co-ruler of The Traverse report seeing a floating hourglass near her.
In addition, talk is occurring about preparations for a ritual of fate, as well as the occasional whisper of 'two more pieces'...
It would appear that this was integral to the Montelione's plans.

When asked about the hourglass, Elizabeth had but this to say:

"It was returned, and for that I am grateful. Though not without great cost. A cost that shall be remembered in the years to come.
Still, they've earned a momentary reprieve. I can focus my efforts elsewhere rather than marshalling together a force to reclaim it once again.
Use this time well, those who crawl in the dark."

The hunt for the Hourglass is over.
