A Fateful Clash [Skarnfel v. Aegis]

It has not been long since The Beast of Fate had taken the mantel of ruler for Skarnfel, and in that time she has very much sought the growth and strengthening of the Fel in times such as these. She has moved about, meeting with various allies and the like to give them much needed conversations and yet more needed to be done. However, one thing the beast is above all else. Above being intelligent enough to have a conversation with, above being strong enough to prove herself time and time again on a battlefield of blood and danger. Above all else...The Beast of Fate...is still a demon that wants to face challenge after challenge.

And as of recently, there has been a particular group that's been challenging her kind and going un-checked.

My kin, much like the olden days, I wish to enact a skirmish. For years a certain group by the name of Aegis has gained popularity, and while I am one to appreciate a well fought victory, it did come at the cost of various by-products of Skarnfel. And that, I cannot applaud, in fact I am disgusted. Thusly, the Demonic Horde will stomp the wintery dunes, we will march towards their gates to test their mettle. I will not have unworthy foes dance on the graves of my fallen kin, not before they've been tested by The Beast of Fate as well the might of Skarnfel.

While preparations were made to launch an attack on Citadel, there were other preparations being made in the West. A small amount of forces march towards the snowy tundra to assist in the defense. And though few in number, they were most notably adequately equipped and comprised of Lodestar's strongest warriors. Of all the things made certain, this band of magi were on their way to join in on the Crusade.

From the wind-battered towers of Ten’s Citadel, the bellow of a war horn resounds, echoing across the frosted reaches of Meranthe. Soldiers of Aegis, the stalwart guardians of the Pantheon, rise to the call. Donned in armors of inky azure and luminous gold that catch the frail, icy glint, and wrapped in the thick, dark cloaks billowing defiantly against those frigid winds; they marshal themselves at the colossal gates and towering parapets of the stronghold.

The once silent and serene Citadel now buzzed with the sharp, practiced rhythm of mobilization, its defenses reinforced, its troops prepared, adopting their posts and drawing into formations as the city transforms into an indomitable fortress: an enduring symbol of resilience against the encroaching darkness of Fel.

Spearheading the forces, only a single declaration was made by the Holy Lightning of the Aegis.

"The filth of Skarnfel wishes to test our worth? Yet, I do not even know who you are! The Beast of Fate? Demonic Horde? Whatever it is.

But hear her call us undeserving! Even as our crusade cuts through the corruption of Fel, even as its vassals crumble underneath our feet, utterly pathetic. But what is Aegis if not the shield that protects, towering steadfast against the onslaught of darkness. So bring your armies. We have, we do, and we will prevail.

For that is our destiny.

Warriors of Aegis! Let their taunts fuel the fire in your hearts! Remember, we are the children of Pantheon, their might courses through us, and their faith resides in our spirits. We will triumph, as we have time and again, protect our lands, and we will march onward.

Objective: Defend the Ten's Citadel

The cries of battle are heard loud and clear from afar. The intentions of Skarnfel made painfully obvious and with such would come the rallying of allies. Through the forest would come forth the army of The Elzara, marching heard as they'd approach Aegis. Setting up tents and enacting training exercises and drills with those present in order to prepare for the coming battle. The one leading them, having already given promise of their presence amongst the field long ago. Now such would be made official.

Dark wings of the Commander would be at the head.

The Night of Nemea making their presence known.

"I was sure I told you we would be present, Eivor. This is not a battle we face alone but together. In their time of disarray and chaos amongst their ranks they choose to strike.
