The Valorous Flame
#1

Amidst the fires of conflict comes an organized sect dedicated towards the worship of Ualdir. Dedicated to the lord of battle, this sect calls itself The Valorous Flame, and distinguishes itself from the warring bands of Altan's Few with a more organized and 'civilized' approach to their worship.

The Valorous Flame
Patron: Ualdir
Religious Head: Everflame (Rank)
Description: To rise past one's limits. To push yourself beyond simple mortality. These are the goals of those that follow the lord of battle, flame, independence, and greatness. A sect developed in organized society, the Valorous Flame follow a slightly less chaotic approach to their rise to greatness. They seek to prove themselves against the forces of Hel, and the undead, fighting demons, witches, and undead or else striving to combat these forces in other ways where force of arm is not quite enough. Ever seeking to improve, the Valorous Flame encourages personal growth wherever one can find it. From a craftsman's skills, to a swordsman's techniques, the faithful hone the essence of what they are to ever greater heights.
Rituals
Baptism of Flame: An inititation to the sect. One wishing to begin their journey must allow themselves to be briefly immersed in flames. Fire magi, naturally, find this act to be strictly ceremonial in nature, but other magi are forced to confront the pain and discomfort that come with this initiation with no other assistance beyond their own power.
Blessing of Ashes: A priest may give a blessing of protection in battle by giving a mark inscribed in ashes to the warrior. Whilst the priest will not directly ask Ualdir to empower the warrior, they will ask to remove fear and doubt from the blessed, leading to increased confidence in one's abilities, and thus better performance in battle... Albeit, one entirely dependent upon their own potential.
Final Rest: A funeral service. The body of the deceased is committed to flame, and achievements of the fallen are recited before those present. It is considered disrespectful to speak during this service unless you have a proper tale to share.
Oath
-Oppose the Undead and those that raise them, wherever you find them
-Strive always for growth
-Respect those with strength, but do not compromise yourself
-Your soul is your most important thing. Do not barter it away
-To die forgotten is the worst fate possible
-Assist others with their growth, but do not hand them power unearned
-Let neither law nor race rule you: Only your own soul
