With the future Unknown, and the grasp of the fel within Meranthe nearing an absolute, despair rings true within the rank of Aphros.
However, those that stay behind would spot an intrepid artist sketching away at what remains, finding what drives those that stay behind.
More importantly, documenting Aphros as it is- so it is not lost to history.
At least, if one person is to document it, then it shall be done by someone that can draw it all- as esoteric as it now is.

Word begins to spread, however; this is not the work of any mere Aphrosian citizen.
Far from it; a foreign, almost unheard-of religion seems to be moving into the public spotlight.
One of Vdalion's last daughters was preparing a rally, either for those who stay behind to fight, or for those who need to hear it most.
Perhaps, in a way, it is a festival; in another, it may be a premature funeral for what Aphros once was.

In either case, it was culminating for an event just before the true invasion began, and blood would be shed for a lifeless city of Twilight.
A mass, by a traveling soul; an invocation of a Primordial's furtive protection.
A prayer offered to all, one that asked for Safe Travels.

Either for those prepared to live and love within the walls of another city...
or for those who were ready to travel into the world of the dead.

Upon wings of iridescent silver would the last rites of Aphros be said.

Shevaun Maroth, the transient leader of the Goldlight Order's Free Wings,
will be hosting a mourning prayer for Aphros, its many fallen, and its very presence.

The loss of a place to Travel was equally as important to grieve as any one soul.
