Make Jab the unarmed opener.

Iron Fist is a stance that is an opener. Because it's an opener, it cannot be refunded. Because it's a stance, it cannot be used on top of apped for advanced unarmed stances such as Assassin, Inferno and Stalwart.

I suggest changing to make Jab the opener. Why? It's the closest thing to Dash Strike that Unarmed has. It also allows for those who have an advanced stance to not have the sink in their RPP than an advanced stance is. Armed users can refund Garuda/Fomorian/Ifrit, so I think to balance the two melee styles a bit more, this should be done.

Also I would think you'd learn to punch heckin' fast before learning an entire combat style, no matter how basic. but that's just what I experienced when I did martial arts as a kid.

Actually, last I asked about the armed stances, I was told I can't refund them. Only reason I had mind successfully refunded, was because it was a mis-click (thought it was stance X, it was stance Y, and immediately made an admin-help).

As far as I am aware, everything but Openers is refundable. Unless that was changed and stances weren't mentioned.

To my knowledge, admins do not refund armed or unarmed stances.

Iron fist is a prerequisite to the advanced styles to my knowledge (having way of willpower), so it's largely irrelevant. If you can't afford the 5 RPP for advanced, gain 5 RPL.

Making Jab the opener is the worst thing to do, as people will dip in just for that spell alone.

You're going to need to pay 25 either way if you refund Iron Fist once you get the advanced stances rather than 5 if you already have the stance. Not sure why you would want to refund it in the first place. And even if you made jab the opener. You can't use it without having an unarmed stance activated. So this suggestion is literally invalid.
