Do not keep your country waiting, Your Majesty.
π Yiel 25th, 2073 AC. Chosen heir of Aemiliya Alinteau, Melanthia Alinteau, is crowned Queen of Delphina in Nemean ceremony. Succeeding not only the throne, but the customary title Queen of Spring, she presents before the gathered witness a promise of renewal and caring preside over the nation. Binding her to such promises, she is bestowed an azilaena flower blessed by divine oath. A measure of her fealty to such promises.
☊ Biblos 13th, 2083 AC. Over the course of months, quiet whispers of concern swirl about the status of Queen Melanthia Alinteau within Dal'Thala. Rarely is she seen, and for those rarities reported acting unsual, the crown of her office absent. An uneasy air looms within circles both official and unofficial, one begins to question just how brightly that oathbound azilaena blooms, how lively its petals...
Emerging from the disposal of an intruding demon within the capital, ash still lightly flecked upon upon his cloak and without an accessible Queen to report to, Lord-Luminary Camino Caewynn reports instead in a public declaration: Regency.
Quote:"With all due respect to Her Majesty. A title is only worth so much as it is served, and the titles of Delphina's royalty and nobility are served for Delphina. A Queen need answer - to and for her Realm, and to be unable to do so for one reason or another is to be ill-fitting. To Queen Melanthia: I invite you to step forward, stand before your people, and show to them that the flower of your oaths blooms true, and Nemea's crown answers still to you.
Until that time, I will serve as your Regent. Do not tarry, as surely we mustn't see the tragedy of Spring's Equinox passing without Spring's Queen."
For the second time, is the Lord-Luminary made Lord-Regent on behalf of an Alinteau monarch. No presumption upon the throne made at the time beyond the characteristically temporary status of regency, though his words make clear: Delphina cannot, and will not wait overlong for a Queen which has seemingly grown unreliable.
