Ancient Ice Laboratory

Didn't get a reply for this event when I tried to get it for someone, so i figure I'd see about repurposing it as a public event roll style (like what blox is doing w/ the adventurers guild)


Event Guide

Entrance - They arrive at the entrance to a ancient, submerged building made out of adamantine. When they find a way to open the door, a ancient security system activates - But it is malfunctioning and attacks.

When they kill it, they discover that someone, or something, has deliberately sabotaged the security system so that the golem would attack anyone who enters.

They continue through the creaky and damaged building and eventually reach a crossroads. There are three corpses in the room infront of them, that seem to have half frozen. When they enter the room, the trap activates.

[Trap of Perseverance - Survive as long as possible.]
[Everyone who goes down gets temps, and the trap ends when the last party member is standing. It is basically ‘survive as long as possible.’ fight.]

They can then choose which of the three paths that they wish to go down. The left path leads them to a small research lab, where they find a lockbox and can do a puzzle to get [Research materials].

The puzzle isn’t too hard - There are 7 keys hidden within the room of various colors. If they put the keys into the box in the order of ROY G. BIV. (The rainbow) then the lockbox unlocks. Everytime they put the keys in wrong? Gas emerges and the person who entered the keys gets a minor temp (-5 vit)

The right path leads them to a storage room where they can roll to get some mundane loot (d100 - 20 and below, they activate a trap. 21-60, they get nothing. 61-100, they get a item from a lootchart.]

The middle path leads them to what seems to be the central nexus of the building.

A man, wreathed in shadows, seems to be in the center of the room. He is muttering angrily while pressing a console full of buttons. If they interrupt him, he mutters about how there always seems to be someone meddling in his business and proceeds to attack them. If they don’t interrupt him and watch what he is doing, he mutters to himself about how RISE is not paying him enough.

When he is defeated, his cloak and backpack is ripped off in battle and he hastily smashes a small orb in his hand that teleports him away, heavily injured. In his backpack is mundane travel equipment, and a pulsating orb.

Ancient Ice Golem Core
[This Ice golem core is truly ancient and seems to have been made of compacted water crystals with intricate ice runes carved in. Not very impressive - However, after hundreds of years of steadily accumulating and storing more and more ice mana… this core has evolved into an incredible source of Ice mana that could be used to enhance a weapon or set of armor.]

[Resource] +2 Ice power [Weapon or Armour]

Ring of Perseverance

[This ancient ring is made out of Obsidian and is inlaid with Orichalcum runes that seem to increase the discipline of the wielder by regulating their mana into a easily controllable form. When worn, the user’s mana seems to flow naturally to injuries and help speed up healing.]

[Ring] 10 mana [Blessed modifier]

[Ancient Research Materials]

[Inside of this black lockbox lays seven vials of various colors and symbols on each of them.

Red - Fire Symbol
Orange - Sun Symbol
Yellow - Lightning Symbol
Green - Leaf Symbol
Blue - Water Symbol
Indigo - Spirit Symbol
Violet - Mana Symbol

Alone, the vials seem inert and totally unreactive. However, when combined and used together - They seem to react in odd and mysterious ways. Perhaps you could study these and use them for some grand and odd alchemical project.

[This cloak seems to be made out of silk that has been infused with an incredible amount of shadow mana. It seems to hide the user and lets them blend into the shadows.]

[Cloak] Invisibility Modifier - No stats.

Pulsating Core

[This pulsating core seems to be made of a strange metal that seems similar to Austeria. However, instead of pulsating with Aether it pulsates with the ambient mana in the air and constantly absorbs trace amounts from the air. Any Aether that comes into contact with this orb, is destroyed or repelled.
