Fluff: Rumors of a group of bandits and mercenaries of all kinds hunting and stealing old relics were spread all across the lands, they sell it? They have some greater goal with it? The reason is truly unknow, and the small group after them may even don't care much.

Fluff: Rumors of a group of bandits and mercenaries of all kinds hunting and stealing old relics were spread all across the lands, they sell it? They have some greater goal with it? The reason is truly unknow, and the small group after them may even don't care much.
But not only they wish to stop them, but to recover the relics...
Nothing is said about returning them to the right place.
Synopsis
The group of bandits that they are searching for in particular tend to be widespread, hard to find, hard to locate – thankfully, Arnet had managed to get a contact within one of the major suspected locations of one of these mercenary groups.
They approach their initial contact, who leads them towards what seems to be an abandoned village - empty houses, some falling apart, others seemingly just… Vanished. Although there is an air of unease present.
Some ample warning is given, and the contact leads them towards a small camp – where one mercenary remains.
They’ll be asked a few questions, of course: what they were doing here, for what reason, what are they looking for…
And they have two choices: ending it amicably, with the willing parting of an item, or initiating combat.
WHETHER OR NOT IT IS WILLINGLY PARTED
ITEM RECEIVED
Cosmic Dragon Scale
“It is hard to mistake this as an ordinary scale from a lizard. It glows purely, shining brilliantly with stardust, and with a primal power felt quietly underneath. It can be used to assist in making wonderful armour, or perhaps to enhance one’s connection to something.”
They are then directed towards a cave system, in which they need to navigate their way around to successfully find themselves at the end of the journey.
There will be two more boss fights during this, including puzzles.
Depending on which way they go first:
RIGHT
They will come across a small pathway along this side of the caves, as well as the first old relic of a stone statue. An odd forcefield is blocking the way to proceed.
There is an inscription here, written in runic that they can try to translate.
“YOU MEASURE MY LIFE IN HOURS, AND I SERVE YOU BY EXPIRING.”
4 Attempts, more of the riddle explained if they don’t get it.
IF FAILED: 24 hr temp on the one giving the answer.
IF SUCCEED:
They can proceed up.
IF FIRST OPTION IS LEFT:
They will end up in a more open field, with another old relic statue. Another inscription with a roll to translate.
“WHAT DISAPPEARS AS SOON AS YOU SAY IT’S NAME?”
2/3 tries, success: item drop, fail: boss summon.
Or maybe if they take too long, the boss will be summoned.
IF SUCCESS/DEFEAT BOSS:

IF SUCCESS/DEFEAT BOSS:
ITEM DROP
Gem of Ymir
“Looking closely upon the glass inscryptions that were placed on the gem, one can immediately sense an immense holy power radiating from it. Perhaps something that was created many years ago by one of Ymir’s faithful followers, for within the center one could almost see a portion of space itself.”
They can then proceed up.
Either way will lead them to another rune inscription, and if they do not perceive the trap and figure out how to disable it, they will summon a boss fight. (These ‘summons’ are essentially spectres trapped within.)
PERCEIVE TRAP/DISARM
PROCEED
IF TRIGGERED, DEFEAT BOSS
ITEM DROP
Orb of Magma
“Unable to be touched by anything other than the burning hands of a fire magi, being even a little bit close to this orb of condensed magma will make one begin to sweat profusely. It is possible to slot this within a weapon, or perhaps even safely figure out how to absorb the energies contained for personal use.”
EITHER WAY, PROCEED FURTHER UP TO FINAL BOSS
Party will meet the leader of the abandoned mercenary group. They will be warned to not proceed any further or attempt to locate the dragon egg any longer than they have, as the mercenaries now believe it to be ‘cursed’.
Some story fleshing out here that I will probably wing creatively!
They will initiate the fight.
ITEM DROPPED
Draconic Fang
“A sharp tooth pulled directly from the jaws of a dragon, although it’s unsure whether or not it was done whilst it was alive or dead. There’s something off about it, however; like an uneasy energy pulses throughout the fang itself. One should be careful about nicking themselves with the sharp, jagged edges of the fang. With proper care, however, it is possible these energies can be removed and the fang can be used in defensive armours or offensive weapons.”Gem of Ymir

Additional item dropped:
Broken Spear Tip
"What once was a magnificent weapon now simply rests as nothing more than a chunk of austereia, as that is what had been forged into the tip. Golden yet intricate runes seem to decorate the austereia tip itself. One may potentially melt down that bit of austereia for use elsewhere and turn what used to be a glorious weapon into something new."
