Necromancy and Undead; A much needed update

MASTER NECROMANCER DLC

Fleshcrafting: Can only be used on undead. Fully heals a permanent injury.

Maker's Seal: A -5vit perm that increases by -3 every year. Unheable. Gain 3 Undeath per year no matter the distance as long as the character is actively earning EXP. Can only be undone by a Radiant (high resource cost) & can be used on anyone.

If it reaches -20 (5 years), it is then healed and the person's race is changed to Undead.

Avra Kadavra: Green/black beam of lightning, quick and snappy. Stuns opponent on-hit. Costs 1 Undeath per cast in dangerous+ battles.
Can teach it to Champion Undead for a cost.

Forge Phylactery: The first step towards lichhood. Crafts a custom, unique, soulbound amulet for the necromancer. Costs Nyctorre/Undeath.

Forge Death Ring: Uses Nyctorre/Undeath. Reduces the person's finger into bone, bound. Form a pact/promise.

Found Stronghold: Mass spread of fog-like mist and undead NPCs. Territory is claimed as your own (must be linked to a watchtower). Effectively functions as a very small settlement (21x21, can decorate).

Cursed Revival: Select a PC from the death box. Offer them a unholy pact. Choose a new name for them on their summoning: memories of their past life are fractured, and the side effects of undeath incur (rot, anti-life, their failings and grudges become their obsession, etc etc. Unstable. Possibly requiring the person's corpse & having multi-year CD)

NGL is the only fix is 150 faith and a resource cost this kind of skill SHOULD cost a FAT amount of undeath to do to someone. Especially when it can rip racials off someone if the local radiants deem you not worth the expense.

i think if you are deemed "not worth the expense" you probably get executed
which angstplots are cool and all that but that would kind of suck huh

I'm not sure where you're getting 150 faith from. It probably won't actually cost undeath to use, beyond actually reaching the master necromancer stage, as I think 'transforming the living into undead' is a good driving theme. It's not gonna be super costly for a Radiant to revert, but I haven't really thought that far ahead yet.

Honestly it seems like a cool thing to get a little extra undeath and maybe make someone sweat a bit. Or give them an option to go undead if that's what they want.

Radiant costs 150 faith to get to. hence the comment on that. Not every radiant is gonna freely fix people with that perm that gets it.

It's not like Radiants are especially rare though in my experience.

If they want less undead in the world they will. But it does depend on what the cost actually is.
