The Execution of the Mayor of Sudbury

In the Slums of Sudbury, a large crowd of people gathered. From afar, the view of a massive sand guillotine could be seen forming over head as several masked people led the Mayor of Sudbury, hidden inside of a sand coffin, to the center of the District. The entirety of Sudbury was welcomed to watch as the group known as the Syndicate began to execute the Mayor, but it was not without interruption. Valiantly, the First Light, knights of Orsona, pressed, attempting to save the Mayor of Sudbury.

They were pushed back.

"You may think that you all are the saviors of this city's light. You guys think yourselves so high and mighty. When you murder fathers in front of their daughters, you think nothing of it. When you kill best friends, leaving those who care for them behind, you don't think, you just tear them down."

"Because they're not nobles. Because they're not the people who stand at the top of society. Because the Syndicate is the ugly underbelly of Orsona that you'd rather pretend doesn't exist. You hide us, making us stick to shadows, keep our heads down."

"But the Syndicate, the Shadow's Hands, are far louder then anything you can imagine, and far more lethal. We aren't something that you can look away from. We aren't something you can ignore. We're not distractions."

"We are coming for you. For the 'Last Sight' as the Rhoynish would say. Your nobles, your knights, your queen. None are safe."

And with that, high above the city, the massive guillotine would fall. Within the barrier of sand, Claude would not be seen, only the blood as the barrier was bisected, and dozens of grains of sand would move, slicing through it like needles, decaying the body that was inside until it was nothing but mush made to spill on the floor.

"The Syndicate is here. The Demons are coming. And the Witches will watch. This is your reality for attempting to overreach."

"Be expecting everything."

The words and warning of the Syndicate ring out to the city of Orsona.
