Of Bastion and Aspera - Inauguration and Mass

The Holy State of Aphros is brimming with activity. Since the traumatic days under the Empire's banner came to a tragic end, it has sustained itself through actions both kind and cruel. Some might say the citizenship leans too heavily to Astral compassion; some may say Umbral coldness has overtaken. Forces both Astral and Umbral work, however, to better a single point. A single nation, and a single faith.

Aphros is finding balance.

"I speak to you, my lovely people, as Pontifice of the Asperan Church. Since the tragedies of Ragnarok, Aphros has regained its glory. Found a new balance, greater in its long-sought entropy than it ever was. But there has been a failing, plain enough any one man could point it out to me.

People have asked, "what is the state of our military, the Bastion?"

Finally, after many years of rebuilding and growth, we have come to an answer. I ask that all of you join me, and hear that answer for yourself. We convene to bear witness as Oracle Lirael Equisol names her new Lord Commander, one who will finally fill the hole in our ranks left so long ago.

All members of the Asperan Church are to attend, without exception. There will be reformation in our clergy, which will better both the lives of our members and Aphros as a whole. Those who absolutely cannot attend are to contact me, Bell A. Montelione, directly after the Mass.

I encourage all of those who attend to stay to the end, so that I might answer any questions welling within your hearts. Some prefer secrecy, to hide between walls thicker than sound can permit. But you have every right to ask, and I will answer all to the best of my abilities."
