From the hidden isles of Wysteria has a group arrived upon the shores of Meranthe.
And with it do they bring a mission from this land of theirs:
To learn how to cleanse Wysteria of the evil spirits that inhabit it.
And after doing so, perhaps focus their attention to cleansing Meranthe itself.
Time was ticking, after all.
THE TEMPLE
Worshiping the Gods is different from one belief to the other, though one thing is in common with all methods, is that the practitioner must give something in behalf of the blessing of the Gods to them, be it achieving a goal for starters, praying at shrines when found - offering some of the food as tribute is also a proper way to worship.

Those who decide to take religion as a path, becoming monks and whatnot, serve the entirety of the Gods and their legends, taking on their challenges - in order to ensure all of them being pleased with your progress, while some Gods favor those of their element more - the non-magi monks are blessed with the ability to ward of diseases with their belief, perhaps even heal the common cold, and depending how in tune they are with the element practice and faith, maybe even heal more serious matters.
It all depends on how much Faith to acquire, be it be prayer, be it by battle, be it by artificing - each of us fight in our own way, the only thing that matters is our brilliance reaches the Gods we dedicate our work to.

They dictate their lives to achieve their goals, and those that die while in the attempt to achieve them, are regarded with good fortune, they died doing what they loved. The worship is simple, you set a goal and attempt to get it done within your life time, it can be anything - from becoming the greatest swordsman, to being the greatest forgemaster in your lifetime. Their worship is different from individual to individual, though the thing that connects them together is the fact that nothing will shake them off the journey, the journey is set out of love - perhaps to reach a goal, perhaps to do something for a loved one - perhaps to take revenge for a loved one. With that, it is important that all those that worship the rest of the Gods, also include Mikaboshi’s teachings of balance.
THE SHOGUNATE
After the vessel crashed into the Wysteria Isles, there was but one man that knew what to do, an old general - and the captain of the vessel, that rallied the group into a small force, rallying the living and the injured and taking note of the lives lost - he lead them through the forest, ensuring to be their protector - through the wild life, and it is said that the island gave him way to lead his people forward.
With him taking charge, Shizomata Hiroki was elected the leader, after ensuring everyone’s safety, and with that - he led the small colonization efforts of the Wysteria island, erecting the Sun City, Taiyo Machi. It made it easier the fact that, among the survivors, were brick layers, carpenters and artificers along - it didn’t take long for Hiroki to ensure a haven for his people.
It didn’t take long for Hiroki’s efforts to be immortalized, as his help and his leadership was instilled into the younger generations, and among them the children of Hiroki were inducted, trained in the ways of taking the mantle, becoming Shoguns, as his own successor.
With the generations, the most notable Shogun after Hiroki’s rule, someone that is said to be a direct reincarnation of himself, is his great grandson, Hiromaru, he has taken the mantle and this time worked on raising a military force, while the worship of the Gods was important - the teaching of the Shenghese culture he’d received painted them as warriors, those that fight for purity, for the betterment and for the world as a whole.
And with that, he’d created the first military school, directly tied to the temple, each one of his Captains would be following a God and command absolute mastery of their tied element, which created a diverse set of troops that are deathly loyal to the cause, and the Shogun, of course - a religious leader, and a military commander.
With that, for a century, everything was going smoothly - generations would grasp at the concepts more and more, training in various arts, sometimes mastering two or more elements in their life times, providing the military prowess of the island to be rather excellent for the size of the force.
MAGIC & SWORDSMANSHIP
As the world moves forward, traditions are forgotten and mostly disregarded as old and ineffective, however, for those in Wysteria - it is a calling to their roots. Ones that they have never forgotten about, and strive in order to keep the traditions alive by ensuring the younger traditions carry it on.
That being said, it is rather rare that someone of Wysteria does not know how to handle a sword, as there is great honor in carrying on the traditions. Swordsmanship is important to a warrior’s spirit, both Magi and Non-Magi are trained in swordsmanship until they realize their potential.
Those that do not pursue swordsmanship with their magic, are encouraged to worship by embracing an element, and devising a personalized way to master it, what matters is excellence, innovation and an effective way to ensure the Gods are pleased with your progress.
Of course, those that do not use the sword are uncommon, and thus that may prove a little difficult for people to set out on their own, while magic and swordsmanship went hand in hand, a lot of experience is painted in that regard, those that go about to set their own way are usually the ones that deal with gaining the experience to achieve excellence, the experience to create a new method altogether, and perhaps deal with their own artificing, as most of artificers focus on creating the best blade they could, the sharpest - the better mana conducting, the more exquisite the better.

- When warriors say that they will perform an action, it is as good as done. Nothing will stop them from completing what they say they will do. They do not have to 'give their word'. They do not have to 'promise'. Speaking and doing are the same action.
