It's been over a decade since the eruption of Grimhjall, and the destruction of the First and oldest Realm, Vdalion, fulfilling the prophecy of the return of Amier's son Grimnir and subsequently destroying the Demons Sak'noth and Varrach. The world has moved on from those days, slowly, but the effects and instability wrought have surely been felt, for better or worse. Perhaps the chapter closed when the remnants of the kindgom of giants, New Dexia, was near vaporized by a beam cast by the Moonchosen, concluding the Desert Wars of 2068.

Recovery.. the long winter has passed, the sky no longer blotted by volcanic ash. Farmland and humanity flourishes once more. Snow falls in the north again.
