Shattered Few

The forces of Man, the children of the Pantheon, denizens of Meranthe. Long have they been quiet, left only to survive. Their Empire has no leader, its remnants falling apart and back to mere shadows of themseves, day by day. Stagnation runs rampant like disease; people are left only to make do and never to strive for victory. Defensive battles time and time again, always left without a decisive offensive.
 
With no one voice or force to lead them together, Man seems lost. Unable to find their way. In response, a meeting is called. Many leaders of the world, the ones who made up the Empire in the past are brought to meet in the great halls of Aphros' keep.
 

 

Many new faces that represent the nations, yet the sentiment remains. One force, united against the forces of Sin and Hel. A force that was brought together only once, would be needed again. Yet, with the powers ahead that only grew since they came together before and with the nations missing many of their great leaders, Emperor included, they'd need another edge if they wish to level the playing field.
 
A group made up of only the most elite of magi from each nation, brought together under a single banner.

A group led and called for by Daralis, a nephilim who claims herself to be the Emperor's Will. They have but one purpose, to cleanse Meranthe of demonic influence and the put to sleep the ancient evils that have been awoken by the Coven of Misfortune. The nations have come together, offering only the best to be led forward into war. One long coming, one that will determine the future of Man.

As the whispers spread of its creation, those interested in joining such a force are told to seek their leaders or find the nephilim herself, the members of the elite force growing day by day.

It has been awhile since word has been given from the commander of the Shattered Few. Over the years, its members have been spread and dealing with their own issues. Whether it be the flames that rest over New Dexia, the schism in Dal'Thala's politics, threat that looms over Audhild or the influence of demon's over one's mind.
 
It is clear the past couple years that things have slowed, if not full come to a pause. At which point, the collective's chosen commander choses to step forward, to utter news that has been shared with a select few. Now given to the public.
 

"In the time we were able to bring the nations together, we accomplished much of what we were after. Great deeds were done, only capable by the hands that joined in union against the threat upon our realm. Still though, issues were driven to the light. Things that we all knew were there, but chose to work around.

 

People, Man, while we all might truly believe in a great future and have similar ideas. Our way of arriving differs from nation to nation, generation to generation.

 

I appreciate the trust given to me, the tool I was able to use to begin to forge the path forward. I will forever be grateful and look upon what we accomplished. And using this foundation, I will continue to work towards the same goal I always have. But, I will continue as myself, with my own means. No longer having to rely or twist for the whims of others who have to seek their own benefit. While I understand, it simply is too slow, too many pieces to work with.

 

The Shattered Few, as we know it, will end under my lead on this day. A new project to begin, a great wonder in the making. Something to make clear the future."
