As the sun rises within the expanse and the steady desert winds blow against the dunes to create a cloud of dust, five silhouetted figures can be seen standing within the clouds, all of which seem to have a piercing gaze filled with a fiery determination, a strong moral compass, and an urge to fight. Any that see them may not recognize their faces, but two things are seen that instantly give way to tell what they are:
A cowboy hat and a crimson half-cloak.
As they traverse the sands of The Silent Expanse, a narrational voice can be heard off in the distance speaking of their arrival...

When Dexia was destroyed we lost so many o' our people that it was heartbreakin', there was all kinds a' mournin' n' grievin'...but after that came questions, and then answers, and then anger. So I sent a letter to give them a way to let out that anger, and you know what they told me? Nothin'!
They just sent names...
Who Are you?
You are a survivor of a small village known as Dexia, the home village of people like Barabbas Knodd, Koliajin Djulkorren, and Taglia Djulkorren which is(or was in this case) far south of Vdalion. Due to Ragnarok, the village was destroyed and a lot of lives were lost, you were told that the cause of it all were the demons, witches, and the undead. Now, as a way to get back at them while also making your ma and pa proud, you(as well as four others) chose to heed the call of one Thane Taglia Djulkorren to join The Dauntless to both bolster their numbers and to strengthen yourself in the process.
IC INFO:
★ You speak with a Southern Accent.
★ Contrary to popular belief, education is for those that seek it so yes, you can read and write unless you CHOOSE to shun literacy.
★ You do not have to say 'yeehaw' all the time, however southern vernacular is accepted.
★ Being from Dexia, you have more than likely been raised in a two parent household and have been raised on the value of having the back of your fellow man/woman.
★ As a Dexian, you can tell tall tales and such. You are even quite capable of making a story as simple as walking sound impressively interesting, or maybe that trait skipped you.
★ Your ma, pa, sister or whoever raised you under the pretense that the occult, witchcraft, and the fel arts are not only evil, they are the reason you lost your home.
★ You will get a cowboy hat.
