A Lesson Painted in Red

Late one night, rumors would begin to circulate through Delphina. Mere hours later, similar rumors began to circulate through Aphros.
It wasn't until the morning after the events, however, that the pieces were put together.

Following the failed kidnapping of Kylian Woodes within Dal'Thala's square, the culprit- a Drakanite mercenary by the name of Ezekiel Vertesk- was seen being dragged off through a portal by Queen Consort Lila Woodes. They were spotted moving into the Cathedral in Aphros together.

Later that night, Lila alone walked out, hands splattered with blood.

When she finally made her return to Delphina, she gave an announcement to all those within the square- short, simple, and with the same coldness she was known for.

Long have we allowed others to walk over us. Long have we sat idle, doing nothing.
But, no more.

Let this man's death be a lesson to you all.

Were these merely the words of an angered, vindictive woman?
Or were they a warning of changes to come within the Faeborne capital?
Only time would tell what the future holds.
