A Terrible Winter - Raid

With the defenses of Deep Hold kepping the city mostly intact after the incursion from Aen, the demon armies were seen to be still restless across the Shadowlands - the bloodlust was still present, the desire for more conflict was sought, it was needed.
 
And for this.. The Lord of Change began to redirect his army forward.
 
The undeads would join the hordes of demons, as this legion began to move across the landscape.. Their target? The mountains north of where the giants reigned for many years! Siege weapons were being prepared and the objective is clear:
  

Begin the invasion upon Ymir's kingdom.

 

"I haven't forgotten the influence of your people in the destruction of my home, much less forgiven such actions - especially after all the annoyance your Emperor made me endure.

In the recent months following the Empire's banners being raised around the territories of Dal'Thala, pyres of golden flame have begun to rise up across the mountain ranges of Vdalion. Bellows of great forges add more smoke and soot to the clouded skies above Grimjhall as many smithies seem to be producing great works for the coming march. Many Dauntless seem to be sporting freshly forged armor paired with the half-cloak of deep crimson, moving out across the ranges surrounding the Great Peaks..

Vigils are taken beside these great pillars of venerated flame, with budding Acolytes of the Shattered Flock speaking words of prayer to the faithful of the Shattered who stand watch. Many keep their eyes to those who seek to march upon the mountain, and perhaps even flick their gazes up to the small shapes that take flight in the clouds above.

As the hordes of Deephold move closer , the Thane roars out to the Dauntless and the defenders of Vdalion to instill upon them the fury of battle.

"Look down upon the chaotic and defiled masses that move upon lands most holy, venerated by those whom call upon the will of the Shattered! Do you see them, moving forth like ants to be squashed beneath our collective might? The earth shall tremble and fall beneath their feet, as they moved upon the lands were the Great Disaster slumbers, who grants us his bounty.

Fire and fury shall rain down from the skies and leave devastation in their wake, for even the flames of Hel are dwarfed in comparison by the fire of Giants.
