"To the Khanate of Óir... you may keep Undervein, but know that as of now, Crash, Clearwater, Zonk... you are disavowed from the Óir clan."
A singular letter would find its way to the tribunal of the newfound Khanate, while evidence of what is detailed within has become apparent by the time it's been read. Goblins have slowly been dripping from the Khanate's workforce to defect, under the direction of a leader which would promise safety before hedonism. Such a leader, to be decided upon not through violence, but democracy. The following is translated from goblinspeek, for OOC readability.
"Did you really think that the land granted you the title of 'Chieftain', of 'Khan'? You failed to kill me, after all, instead trying to weigh the threat of my death against my kin, my family... and I warned you, that you would regret such. There is no malice in my heart but responsibility, remembering that there are goblins which still care for me, that detest your 'rule', your half-baked 'ordinances'... some, that you are using just as you had planned to use me. I have informed both Fortune and the empire protecting it, Vdalion, of your new rule, of your belligerent behavior, and they retract their support from Undervein as far as I am aware.
What I am sure of, is that our new haven will resume continued alliance with both. I am so sorry that it came down to this, that you would surrender to such poisoned ideologies, of 'might makes right'... our ancestors, not of the grass, but of the caverns below, must be sickened to see their kin reduced to warmongering, indiscriminate highwaymen. This kindness I have in my heart is a weapon sharper than any blade I could possibly craft, for I've enough allies to quash this notion of insubordination and potentially reform you to our previous peace. No, we've always respected our family, spoke of our problems, never stooped this low.
You were of our clan, and at one point, I was so thankful just to see you alive... to have survived that damned cave-in, caused by those demons you so eagerly commune with. I will no longer whine, and only appeal to sense, by instead taking action. All goblins but Crash, Clearwater and Zonk are welcomed to our new home...
Croí-Uaimhe. The Cavern Heart. These abandoned mines, we will make into a city, respectful of not only its allies, but its own family. To make enemies of allies is a terrible mistake, to make enemies of your own family is a failure."
...by the time this letter has reached Crash's inner circle, the beginnings of the mine expansion have already begun, several small homes, encampments and mineshafts all dug into it. A singular motto is etched into the stone of the main cavern's arch.
IS É AN TEAGHLACH GACH RUD.
FAMILY IS EVERYTHING.
