An Announcement from the Shadows

It was not long after the address from the Oracle, and the announcement of the promotion of Athelios' Hunting Dog, Lila, to the position of Umbral Captain that movements began in the shadows.

The rattling of chains soon became a rather common sound within the streets of Aphros as Umbral Knights marched lines of prisoners through the city- a new labor force, it would seem.

One by one were notes tacked upon each doorway within Aphros, giving notice to all.

The notice read as follows:
Quote:
Attention all citizens of Aphros,
As mandated by the Eighth Oracle of the New Millenia, and under the watch of Umbral Captain Lila, all Occultists have until the beginning of 2049 to register their name and announce their existence as an Occultist to the state.
Be reminded that Occultism is prohibited save for the sole scenario of service under the Bastion. An additional exception shall be made if you have unique skills or talents that could be useful to the State, to be discussed during registration.
Failure to register your name will result in at minimum exile or imprisonment, with more severe punishments considered in egregious cases of concealment.

Upon the bottom of such notices, there's now a red stamp of denial followed by official writing signed by the Umbral Oracle, Lugh Aubreen.

"We're supposed to talk about things like this, aren't we?"

Quote:Until further notice, the above is no longer mandatory. Those who practice the occult within Aphros may do so freely without fear of exile or imprisonment. Anyone who has an issue with such may approach me directly in regard to it.
