That is where you come in, a new wave of Dwarves set to help entrench and expand this new settlement in the name of Dwarfkind. There are a few key tenets that the dwarves seem to follow:
Culture:
The culture of the dwarven folk is very much based around a few principles:
They are a people who prioritize their own race above any other, seeking to protect their ancestral homes and the history of their clans. In this pursuit they aim to create incredible things, legendary relics to cement their legacy in time. Yet also, they seek to honour those who came before them, their ancestors and founders. Their culture is held up by a solid core around mining and the construction of great strongholds within the earth of the world.
There is not a single better fortress than one made by a dwarf! Which often leads to problems with Goblins and Dragons stealing their homes.
Honor for ancestors, craftdwarfship and preservation.

Dwarves have also developed their own unique language for runecrafting - something they are proficient at. Always transcribing their creations, to make them more powerful and unique, with a spark that makes their origin clear.
Dwarves are a very practical people, with craftsmen, warriors and scholars taking the forefront.
Religion:
As much as they respect other deities and may even worship them, in the hearts of dwarves there will always be one thing that trumps all - the blood of their ancestors. Which are revered and respected, having their own structure.
The Profound Halls of the Ancient.
In which those who were most important to their people are placed to rest, in the central area the statue of the first of their people sits proudly. Galnur. The one who emerged from the foundation of the world and forged with his blood, power and the stone, his own people.
Which today are now known as the Stonefolk.
These hate necromancy, as they see it as an affront to what they most respect - their ancestors, who need to rest after all their efforts, something not possible when their bodies are forced to live again under the command of necromancers. It is common to see, to prevent this from happening, dwarf bodies being encased in amber, to preserve and protect their bodies for eternity - leaving them where they came from, within the earth.
But they respect those who invite the spirits of the ancients into the world, for the purposes of discussion and learning. To have their assistance in their fortress for as long as is possible - so much so that it is common to see Spiritmancers in stronghold courts and is considered a noble and perhaps necessary path to pursue.
Features:
Dwarves are basically reflavoured humans with the human racials open to them. While it's not a hard requirement, there is a soft push towards the sturdy passive, despite not reducing crafting costs. They have a strong propensity towards artificing but much less towards alchemy, expect to be given strange looks if you don't enjoy at least some form of crafting.
Any faiths that arise will be based around Dwarven history and, because there's nothing hard written for it, you are free to make this up within reason. Tolkien and Warhammer inspired tropes are welcome.
