Quote:"Behold,Meranthe, for thy era of deliverance has dawned." -Draugur
"..Who am I to say you're wrong and I am right? There's much more nuance to it than that: But my ideology stays firm, I will see my dream come true even if it's atop a mountain of bodies-- Aphrosians, I advance, and I will never falter." -Mikhail
It wasn't long since the unfinished duel between Lydia Dominic and Mikhail, the Death Magi having left for places unknown since the date drew near due to unknown reasons. Perhaps due to the dealings in the background or perhaps some other reason, only time would tell which was which.
One thing remained a constant, however, and that was the constant advance of the mobilized zealots under no banner but instead promises of a better Meranthe in their pursuit to free it from the clutches of the Foul Arts.
A group that followed the figure of Nemea's Guardian, Mikhail, and an unidentifiable individual sporting a suit of armor-- Said to be the other founder of the group, Draugur.
Words nary to discourage them but instead support from the common men that hung around the lands to and from the three main city states, even some from within their capitals, their advance was one that held credibility since the ascendance of the first Imperfect that Meranthe had laid eyes upon since the last.
In their way, however, rested the Land of Duality which held both the Holy and the Occult. Ruled by those very same Faithful of Athelios, previous Warden of Helheim, and one of the last bastions for the Occult since the recent outlawing of the magics that ran foul.
Who could question the intentions of Salvation whom pointed their blades at Athelios' Faithful?
Who could say which side was right, if they both were radical to the end?
The group which held no banners marched ever forward in their advance towards a future that would be paved in bloodshed if need be.
[ SALVATION VS APHROS ]

Athelios was of a duality, one that pursued both the light and the dark.
What greater way to exhibit the will of Athelios than that of a duality? Both light and dark, speaking in perfect tandem and unison.
This was the new generation of Aphros, their will that spoke in response to Salvation's march towards their lands.
First spoke that of the light, an eye blazing akin to that of a lion's ferocious glare -- voice unfaltering despite the rancorous footfalls of marching soldiers towards their beloved soil.
"Know that I bear my blade with a heavy heart and a heavy soul, but no longer will I remain still while those around me are slain and held captive one by one. There is no right. There is no wrong. You wish to see my hands bloodied and my blade sullied with the blood of those that I love -- including you in Salvation."
"So be it."
"I will be thy arbiter,"
"The mercy that Athelios will grant."
"I will cut you down and bear the weight of my sins if I must, to protect those behind me."
In tandem do the two stand amidst a myriad of warriors lined up at the ready to meet with the approaching threat which sought to erase that of the *foul* arts upon Meranthe; those which would set their targets upon the City of Duality itself. Following the message from a warrior of the Light, do words come from that of the Dark in perfect sequence of balance.
"Salvation."
"The name is ironic considering you all seem blind to the true plagues across Meranthe; nothing more than zealots marching towards innocents aiming to bring a 'change' of sorts. Aphros is the City of Duality, you may crusade upon those who practice 'foul arts' but what will you say about the others who might be caught within the crossfire?"
"Not even one such as myself, one who the taint of occult clings to would be so blind in an act. Just as we've demonstrated our strength at the Grand Bout, we'll happily showcase it yet again to any who seek to trample upon the name of Athelios."
"Come."
"I will be thy arbiter,"
"The sanction that Athelios will grant."
"Under the watchful eye of Athelios, I shall lay waste to the heretics that seek to enforce their judgement upon Aphros."
