Not long after the Kingsmoot that had delcared the line of succession for the kings of the north, there seemed to be an immediate spark of activity that befit the ambient fervor of the populace. It seemed the attack on Bjornheim had been a sting on their pride, but to attack the Mootgrounds was the highest of sacrilege. Without delay, a host of giants, nephilim, sturdy huskarls, and the cold march of the risen dead would find its approach upon the west. War horns were called, levies brought forth, and mead drank, for the giants marched to war.
Word was spread far and wide by the Hofgothi that declared the great holy war, his speech offered as the gathered hosts marched forth to avenge the Mootgrounds and harvest the ripe fruit of the elves and hive once and for all.
Quote:"Since the war of the mines, Vdalion had shown mercy in not pursuin' further aggressions against ye', the most heinous descendants of Grimnir's vassals. The time has come to reap that what has been sewn by Kitchi Foisante long ago, a giant never forgets a grudge. Bjornheim will be avenged tenfold, there will be no stoppin' this violence until we grind our greatest foe to the dust. The Flame Prince must immolate himself in the hive tree to purify it in righteous ash, and so bring about the age of flame in earnest with his ascension. The march of the dead begins, the king and Tal go forth to end this grudge once and for all"
It seems there is no half measures left in the intentions of the north. The grudge will be finished, one way or another.
