Vine whip.
It lost its stun, to be replaced for a confuse- that does not even work as we speak today. But that is not the issue, what I'm more bummed out about, is that it lost its stun whilst the others retain theirs.
Now, from my understanding, it was to avoid the whip + beam combos... but I find that reasoning to fall short, if water whip retains its stun and metal whip retained its root. Instead of fixing the problem, players were just encouraged to use another tree instead.
Vine whip should have never lost its stun. Not a single tree in Bio has a dragging beam. You just killed the opportunity for people to do vine whip + blood whip, vine whip + bone drill, vine whip + acid spray, combinations that were never an issue to begin with. Vine whip synergized very well with the rest of the Bio trees, and I find it sad that its stun was removed because it lowkey nerfed Blood / Poison / Bone as well. Water, has the same whip, yet the tree has 2 beams, water beam which is very decent and also the strongest beam the game currently has in the form of Water Dragon's Roar.
But, as upset I am that nature whip lost its stun, I'm not asking for it to come back. Instead, I would rather want this to happen instead :
Treat all whips like metal whips, instead of applying a stun, apply a short root instead
A stun nullifies any attempt to answer back, making the whip + into spell a very worthwile and interesting combination. I don't believe combinations should be banned or removed, however, I do believe the opponent should be allowed to cast back. The concept already exists with metal whip. If you're metal whipped, you're not stunned but rooted and you can cast back against your opponent, meaning you can either use an invul or even a knockback spell.
I believe it'd be much more interesting and actually reward good skills, good reflexes, making the fights more dynamics and spectacular to witness. As a metal whip user myself, I was pleased to see that some people were capable to punish me as I whipped them. Granted, the window is short, as it should be, but it was really a 'o shit' moment that made me smile.
TL; DR: Transform all stuns into roots for whips, vine whip included
