There dwells a tale, on the villages that border the expanse of tainted forests.
Of past fiends that haunted their dreams. Claiming them, as their domain.
The Sleepless Eyes, forever awake, even when they rest.
The people claim they dwell to this day, somewhere deep within the Shadowlands. Among the trees, where none of their own would dare go.
"Twas why I dismissed them at first, dear friends. They seemed merely paranoid. Until they spoke of an offer for aide."
For what could be more invaluable, than what they offered, than a treasure the lingering sect hoarded?
"A Chalice, they said..."
Filled to the brim, with the bloody tears of the damned, and drowning.
"That reflects the River Styx of Hel."
