After the last of the known House Walt family perished, the remaining retainers were left to pick up the scraps. The treasury was robbed leaving Brick's loyal retainers nothing for their effort. Orexius turned out to be a witch, staining the house's name. All that was left was the history and memory of what once was. 

There was still some hope left. A known expedition into the shadowlands, happened during the Calamity. Lead by Sled Walt and his strongest warriors. Although it met disaster, including Sled Walt's death, it was a good chance that much of the gear the warriors carried was still there, buried under the dirt. Sled Walt himself carried a powerful blade. Sam Dovim, one of the current retainers sensed the sword due to a strong connection with shadow magic. A dark presence was seen surrounding the last known location the expedition perished in.

Till now, the expedition has not been touched. For whoever ventures fourth, must have the House's best interest at heart. Those who aren't of a strong mental fortitude will not last.
