Rumor spreads that the elder Proteus finally stirs from the Twilight’s Orrery. It has been near a decade since any have glimpsed even an inkling of his presence, making this an even more curious event. Some say it is a great machine, others say it’s some grandiose final act- or a spell lacking proper description.

Their mutterings amount to the continued spread of misinformation, but also nurtured a rise in intrigue. What truly will transpire that was reserved for the day. A momentous hour left to etch its mark against history.

Those that knew the reclusive Equisol were not so ignorant to his ways. This was a culmination of his life’s work, and it was coming to a close. A light was to be born, one dissimilar yet oddly kindred to its brethren within the veil. A fledgling soon to be rooted elsewhere, held within a space between realms. To shimmer forth with its enigmatic warmth, cascading out waves of argent and ebon across the forenoon isles.

Nonetheless, chatter continued on, spreading like flames amongst kindling. Their crackling whispers ebbing into every conversation. Soon the whole of Gloomlight and its surrounding towns were aglow with talk. No matter the unfurling of canards, the time approached, nearer than it had ever been before.

"And so it is with peace in my heart I grace this hour. To see the Twilight isles bathing in the warmth of day, that will bring naught but joy to this dimming life. Let us all celebrate, for the work is finally done.”
