Buff Fishing
#1
The Fishfesto

At the moment, the only actual use for fishing is to sell it to the merchant.
Food? People would rather eat Spaghetti, as it is easier to make and gives a lot of energy.
There are easier foods that also gives more buffs to stats than the fish based ones.

At 1000 Energy and level 60 fishing, I currently make 500-600 coins depending on how lucky I get with the fish rolls.
If not lucky? 200 coins-ish.
And High Quality fish isn't even worth more when selling it.

I don't want a huge buff to fishing or anything, but perhaps change the energy cost from 50 to 25?
That would make grinding it more worth it.

That's my thoughts on it of course, if you think otherwise I would like to know.
Maybe my opinion will change.

A handful of ideas, just spitballing.

1. Perhaps fish up reagents occasionally.

2. Rainbow Scales, Ghost Scales, and King Crab Shells added as crafting recipes, costing one of each of the fish as ingredients. The armors that use these should be expensive in terms of effort required.

Rainbow Scaled Armor - Small bonus to pursue.

Ghost Scaled Armor - Small bonus to flee.

King Crab Armor - Equippable only by fishermen of level 50 or 100 fishing, provides some cute buff.

Whatever stats suit them idk.

I REALLY LIKE THE REAGENT IDEA!!
Making it so the chance of better reagents scales up with the fishing level as well and such.

As for the armor, the idea is very nice and it's something people would grind for, as long as it's a large amount of fish and making it viable enough in terms of stats.

It would be nice to be able to choose what things you fish up as you get higher in tier, too.

So, a novice fisher could get just about anything, purely randomly.

Someone with level 20 fishing would be able to exclude 2 things from the loot table, someone with level 40 would be able to exclude 4, someone with level 60 could exclude 6, someone with level 80 could exclude 8 and someone with level 100 could exclude 10.

This'd let you pick and choose what you fish if you're angling for a certain drop while still keeping an element of randomness.
