A New Voice for Aphros?

All of you probably have heard of the civil unrest recently that went down in Aphros, how the old oracle was deposed and a new one was crowned, well I felt that explanation was thoroughly insufficient, and at the new Oracles own words, he wishes for Unity. Well all I've been getting is rumor and conjecture, and being transparent about events is just the way to do that in this Reporters personal opinion.

Let’s get this out of the way! As obviously not all the readers will be in Aphros and up to date on their going ons, Hadrian Dominic, is the newly Crowned, though unconscious when it happened, Oracle! (We will get to that little piece in a bit)

From the penance he and the previous oracle made at the shrine in the center of Aphros, he is truly a devout man, if the pain he subjected himself to be free of his sins is any indication.

I had the, well I dislike saying pleasure, of watching the penance of Hadrian and the previous oracle which I will not go into the graphic details here, but was most painful from the look of it.

I then soon after, much to my surprise, had a chance to interview the injured oracle. He was surprisingly able to give me good answers to my questions in such a state, and I was rather amazed at it, though I think, a Lax Essence may have been in play.

Q:"So I already know your name, obviously, it's been thrown around quite a bit, and I have heard some of the story of how you became oracle, but, I am curious as to the full story behind it, as most of us common folk don't get the whole story of how things go down, and rumor and conjecture are wild.


A:"I have gotten it through a series of fights that happened after I questioned Vaelrun Emris' decision on the peace with Delphina. Before being an Oracle, I was the Knight Captain of the Astral Sect, you see. I was upset, and I brought it up."

"It resulted in... A terrible fight between me and the past oracle, but." "I only considered myself truly crowned when he accepted not to do anything else but take the punishment given by me and the giants. Once he called me his oracle, is only when I believed that I was to be so."

"Were he wanting, I would merely hold the title until he came back to his senses and was capable of wielding it again. This does mean that the position of the Astral Knight captain is vacant."


Q: Interesting,I also wish to know your plans, not like war plans mind you, but what do you plan to do as the leader here, how will you guide your people? The people deserve to know what sort of leader they have now, and who they may have to deal with after all.

A:"Plans for the future. We intend on uniting the noble houses once again, to make for a stronger forefront. Weed out some of the witches and necromancers that pass by our city, carve them out."

"Making sure that every mouth is fed is my priority, and for that, the entire might of the Church of Aspera shall be used; We will reestablish the faith in our patrons for the near future."

Q: "Ah so that was the previous Oracle across from you on the shrine then? Is he free or is there more to the punishment?"

A: "That was him, yes. And he is free- He chose to stay with Vdalion, as means to repent for his transgressions against those that wished to ally with us." 

Q:"And what of this declaration of war upon Delphina again, is this a concrete march against the Hive? Will it be done as a joint venture with the giants?”


A:"Our plans are to focus on priority threats first. We will pay assistance to the giants, for now, and reevaluate in the near future. Anything further would be a matter of military state secret."

This Little Q&A was insightful if I must say, I had hoped for a bit longer but, these leader folk do tend to be busy people, but it is important we hear from them, as they make choices and changes that affect our daily lives.

Now the fact he was crowned while unconscious is interesting, and I have heard there has been massive dissent, especially from one Solomon Equisol in this, I make no claims on his legitimacy or lack there of, merely take his words at face value for now, but this issue, and the investigation is far from done.

I will next be trying to interview Solomon Equisol and Vaelrun Emris to gather more information on the issues!
