The Black Knight's Vigil

In the forests between the fascist state of Osrona and the murderous agents of chaos in Moonfall stands the twisting battlegrounds of Esshar
There is little standing between the common-people and unsavory fates. To live in poverty is to resign to a life of suffering. To escape to the freedom of Moonfall means bearing witness to their atrocities and even participating-- should you be allowed inside.
And separating yourself to live on your own makes you a target to both sides, an outsider of Osrona to which there is no one to answer to when the Knights have their way.
Another sacrifice in Moonfall's latest soul-brought weapon.

Rest assured, the people have somewhere to turn. For two years now, a figure identified simply as The Black Knight has been patrolling the grounds between Osrona and Moonfall and lending their blade to commoners in need. Be it at the hands of the crazed soldiers of the forests, bandits, or the Knights of the First Light, the Black Knight consistently shows up to aid those in need. No one has jurisdiction over the forests, and it seems the Black Knight will not allow them to claim it.

But what difference will One Knight make?
((This thread will chronicle the public storylines associated with the Black Knight from now on, feel free to PM if you're looking for a scene and haven't found them))

The Grim Castle
Since the Infamy of the Black Knight has begun to pick up traction, occultists have stepped up their efforts to find them.
It seems the Knight itself is a target for those who seek to sow fear and chaos among those who would travel the woods.
The Black Knight was last spotted in a battle near the fortress, amidst a pile of corpses, fireworks, the the glow of the occult.
And now a number of graves have been raised in front of the abandoned keep.
Should the forces of darkness and those bearing sullied weapons focus their effort on the Black Knight, perhaps their existence alone can make all he difference.

The Fog of Nightmares
With the accursed fog rolling out of Moonfall at night, reports of the Black Knight have become ever more grim. The heightened fears of travellers have turned the Black Knight into a horror story, an urban legend, emphasizing the gruesome nature of their battles as opposed to the valor of their accomplishments. They say the Knight serves as a warden of the ruins, and does not seem ready to join the war for either side. They seem only interested in protecting the weak and disenfranchised between borders.

Some say that the Black Knight is named Rigel
Some report hearing a booming voice summon the Knight by the name

Protector of Ruin
Sightings of the Black Knight have increased around ruins at the center of the Moon Lake. It seems they've taken up a role of protector of these ruins.
This follows reports of the Black Knight being seen with an all-white charge.
They say that the Knight cannot contend with the Knights of the Order-- but many remain unconvinced.
