New Melee Abilities (that are actually good)


Parry - Renders your character immobile, being hit while parrying does 5 MD and confuses opponent
OR     - Renders your character immobile, being hit while parrying stuns opponent

Armed Rush (Dash Drag) - Charge your opponent, taking them with you as you push on. (11 MD, 25s CD)


Pommel Strike (Whip) - 3x3 area in front of caster, (5 MD, stun, 17s CD)

Whirlwind (AoE on Caster) - Five second harmful AoE around caster, 3.5 MD per tick (17.5 MD total)

Underhand Blow - A slowing knockback to create distance between you and your opponent (9 MD, slow, 28s CD)

and whatever avee said, feint would be cool, make armed great again

Spell Name: A Vision of Death.
Magic Tree: Melee
Mechanics: Passive. Whenever you do 15,000 or more damage within 5 seconds. The enemy is slowed for three seconds, and their view switches to the death box for two seconds, akin to a blind.
Visuals: The Death Box.

Spell Name: Calcium Cage
Magic Tree: Bone
Mechanics: Spawns a 5x5 cage around the caster, this is dense. Lasts 4-6 seconds.
Visuals: May use the Ivory Rupture sprite.

Spell Name: Repulsive Fountain
Magic Tree: Wellspring
Mechanics: Small quickcast AoE, lasts for a few seconds. Give it bigly knockback (lmao), maybe 2.5 damage. Make it effect EC's purely because Wellspring users are targeted on events, and them having some counter-play to such, would be cute.

Magic Tree: Holy
Mechanics: Charge for four seconds, uses the fancy new charging sprite. During that period, every time the user was hit with an attack, damage increases by .5, base power of 2.5. Hits like smite.

Other : May need tuning. I'm not sure if this is a great idea in terms of balance, but I like the concept.

Spell Name: Subordination
Magic Tree: Occult
Mechanics: Charge for four seconds, uses the fancy new charging sprite. During that period, every time the user attacks, damage is increased by .5, base power of 3.5. Hits like curse.

Other : May need tuning. I'm not sure if this is a great idea in terms of balance, but I like the concept.

Spell Name: Flash Freeze
Magic Tree: Ice
Mechanics: A beam that allows movement when casting, like flamethrower or whatever it's called. Beam casts for 4 seconds. If the enemy takes X ticks of the beam, they are rooted or stunned for a brief duration. A single tick inflicts frostbite. Moderate damage. 4-5 tile range.

Spell Name: Lightspeed Riposte
Magic Tree: Light
Mechanics: Passive. Block no longer provides DR. Instead, when you block, you have a 125% thorns effect for .5 seconds.
Visuals: Block. Lmao.
Other : Don't use this against a beam, you'll get a bad trade.

Spell Name: Magnetize
Magic Tree: Metal
Mechanics: Skillshot akin to Ice Barrage. If the enemy is hit, they are violently attracted to you for a !brief! period of time.
Visuals: Black powder or something idk.



Spell Name: Derecho
Magic Tree: Tempest
Mechanics: Once activated, a charging animation begins, lasts for like 5 seconds or something. Use a darkened version of the new fancy wind charging animation. Every tile you walk in a straight line in any of the 8 cardinal directions increases AP by 2-3%, changing direction (Ex. Stepping not in a straight line.) resets this buff. This would work for the purposes of unarmed dashes, fatal strike, and other similar spells.

Other: Hard to pull off, but if you're familiar with the damage a derecho can do, you'd know why it'd be wise to get the fuck out of the way.

Spell Name: Asunder
Magic Tree: Magma
Mechanics: A quickfire "beam" the ground rips open into a 3x15 magma pool. Earthquake animations play all around it. Fire brackets where the AoEs are, inflicts burn.

Spell Name: Loom of Light
Magic Tree: Light
Mechanics: A fixed beam that starts either at the top of the RPB or at the bottom of the RPB (Wherever the player is closest to. If perfectly center, it prioritizes the top.). A searing beam of light that deals moderate to high damage fires and slowly moves toward the center of the RPB for a few seconds, essentially zoning out that specific area.

Magic Tree: Bone
Mechanics: A ring of bones bursts from the target's body, momentarily binding them in an agonizing coil. The more they struggle, the stronger its grip. An autohit with a long cooldown. The more tiles the target affected by it moves, the lower their Power is for the duration of Calcium Coil.

Mechanics: A toggle-buff that allows a cascade of mist to coalesce around the general space of the caster. While active, gives vit and allows the caster to click TP into Fog Bank tiles.

Magic Tree: Blood
Mechanics: A jagged and sharpened shard of solidified blood flies in a straight line forward and stabs against all that meet its path. Upon hit, the target takes damage and is inflicted with bleed. Replaces Blood Siphon as the opener (please, god, PLEASE).

Mechanics: A homing that sends an aspect of holy light toward the target. If it hits, a searing beam of holy energy descends from the heaven (Ignite beam sprite recolored to white.) dealing damage and healing the caster for half the damage.

Magic Tree: Occult
Mechanics: A homing that sends an aspect of occultic emanations toward the target. If it hits, a searing beam of occultic energy bursts from the earth (Ignite beam sprite recolored to black.) dealing damage and applying curse.

Magic Tree: Fire
Mechanics: Cleanse and damage over time identical to overheat with a debuff immunity during the DoT.
