The Tea Maidens are a religious sect in the region of Delphinia. Tracing their origins back to when the faeborne first began to appear, they offer worship to Nemea through the practice of tea rituals, ranging from simple and informal affairs to large festivals which invite the entire region. Though they are a sect that has existed for a long time, they are as decentralized as most-all Nemea worshippers are.
Just as they don't acknowledge the existence of any formal name- though some scholars would insist it was once 'Min'el'- they do not acknowledge any who claim dominion over the worshippers of Nemea save Nemea Herself. This extends not just to those within the sect, but outside it as well; while this has occasionally resulted in the sect bearing disagreements with the ruling nobility, it primarily results in them having a role as mediators among the courts of Delphinia. Sometimes they are requested to receive visiting diplomats from the neighboring regions, as well.
To be considered a tea maiden, an individual must fulfill the following criteria:
* They must worship Nemea, and tend to do so via the medium of tea rituals.

To be considered a tea maiden, an individual must fulfill the following criteria:

* They must forswear direct political power, such as ruling a city or nobility.
* They should be knowledgeable about tea to some degree, even if minor.
As long as someone falls under those three criteria they can call themselves a tea maiden, though being recognized as one to the people who live in Delphinia might require more than just that.

While there aren't any leaders of the tea maidens, there are some faeborne lineages within their ranks that trace themselves back to their inception.
A number of these families perished following tragedy of 124, either dying in the tower itself or while attempting to aid the civilians of Delphinia.
Among the survivors is Valerian Eldrassi, daughter of one of the tea maidens who perished alongside the King. If you wish to learn more about the
tea maidens in-game, you can feel free to approach her! If you'd like to create a tea maiden character, feel free to DM me at Avajain#2930 if you
have any questions about them! You can be a tea maiden without being faeborne or a woman, though both are recommended.
