This metamorphosis has made so much in my life so clear.

More in tune with nature, more energetic, more me.

But along with that comes a separation from the me I thought to be.

I now have the desire not only to serve, but to lead.

Through some extensive study, reading, and asking around... Roland has found tales of others like him. Though, unlike how he'd delved into Insectomancy as a science... he'd heard tell of a hive that's simply born like him. Human and insect, an endangered people blessed by the spirits of nature's little caretakers. Those spirits deliver messages from one another through their antennae, forming a proper hivemind. 

A guide promised to take him and his allies to a spirit glade, one where some of these hivelings were receiving their blessing.

Of course, in true insect fashion, they would need to cocoon themselves. This leaves them defenseless, and according to the guide, in danger.

Waking up in Esshar might leave them disoriented some, but it beats that which has been infesting the glade.
