In the shocking and unforetold wake of what transpired in the east. Upon the dawn of a new year, would the shimmering city be graced with terrible news. For victory had become bittersweet. 

  

The newly anointed Stellus, Silvia ark Pelleaux the second, has thus called for a memorial in the deacon, Acacius's, honor. All those considered close friends are highly recommended to attend this ceremony. She also reinforces the idea that all members of the church attend this event. For before it comes to an end? She will make a decree towards what steps the church of faith with make going forward.

   

"Mourn the loss of one with such passion... I remember not long ago we spoke, him and I. We talked on the affirmation pertaining to his dedication in the church. And as I listened to him? I could sense it in him, the resolve to make the world a better place. Even if gently misguided in execution of said ideals. 

  

His memories gifted onto the city shall be the fuel that strokes embers into an inferno. Waver not, for we shall remain strong.

After a small speech given in her announcement. The stellus retreated back into the church, welcoming all those in need of an ear or pillar to lean on.

The day of the memorial arrived and while many had gathered keeping in mind the one most recently lost; Acacius. The new shock of hearsay to be proclaimed as truth, by prince merlin. Brought Osrona to silence that day, the streets were empty, the market stalls closed. All citizens of osrona had returned home and offered prayer to the heavens above. The city mourned now not simply the lost of light, but its former king and crowns-guard.

  

But these were not the only news to spread like wild-fire. As the newly anointed Stellus, amidst her speech? 

  

Had declared the church shall be pressing on forward with this fight. 

  

With a Crusade.

 

 

"Today we grief and prostrate ourselves before the heavens, we humiliate the bravado we typically express out at war, in exchange for tears of those lost. While the east may see us as ilk alike to demons, for our ways? I ask of you now, my clergymen. To be better, to do better... To seek out the hardest route, because it is the right thing to do... There is a reason we have a justice system, there is a reason we've a court and jail. It is meant to be used against those who would seek to harm us, not simple fancy objects all placed together. To make it seem as if we're; just. And as such? I shall not argue on behalf of the lost souls, should they be defeated in battle? It is paramount they are brought in, purged of the darkness festering in them... Left to contemplate in jail over their wrong-doings. Then trialed, where judgement can be properly given...

With all that said? It burdens my heart to have brought this concept up. But with our backs against the wall and whether or not the heavens answer our pleas. We will show them, the strength of man, the strength of unity. The strength; of mercy.

During the memorial, I had made a request alongside my decree, that this crusade serve a purpose, beyond bloodshed.
  
I shall repeat it once more... I ask of you, children of kraus. To show empathy and compassion for your enemies, though you may be forced to harm another? It matters not, but how your feelings on the matter are resolved. For it is easy to succumb to anger and hatred towards those who've taken the lives of all or some you may care for. To watch the pained expression of loved ones now lost, but we can prove to be better. We can prove why the angels look down so favorably onto us. Though I may hold authority within the church, leadership makes me not, but a servant to man...
  
Under a single banner, under the banner of man. Shall we manifest destiny. For it cannot be done by one single person."

As the Stellus reminded the people of her promise, details fleshed out involving the stipulations and behavior befitting for her crusade. Are to be read below.

    

✸ Any and all forms of capture made by the church, shall have the individual in question, be brought fourth for judgement by the stellus.

   

✸ Going forward, the stellus shall decree between three forms of punishment, but the last shall involve an entire cities vote to be passed. All styles however, shall naturally involve the criminal be forced to remain within the walls of Osrona, for the remainder of their life.

   

- Repentance!

The most minor punishment that still holds a harsh lesson, where the captive will be cleansed of their occultist ways, after a minimum of three years, where they will serve the city. Assisting in whatever ways possible, so as long as it remains behind the walls of the city. They will be brought fourth before the Stellus, where they undergo confession. Although they're to remain a captive of the city. Their restrictions may be loosened and possibly a full display of redemption can warrant a more healthy reward. 

"If all we seek is to punish, without proof we can offer empathy? The enemies view on us will never change... It will only be seen as a pseudo death. Although it may be difficult to bare the sight of someone whose possibly caused more harm than good... I ask you give them a second chance. As the gods ask us everyday to be better than who we were, yesterday."

  

- Indefinite Imprisonment!

A balance struck between the three decrees. Should ones soul be weighed and found guilty, but not one deserving of death? They are to be purged of their dark magics and sentenced to bare their humanity before the city. Confined to a prison cell, they will serve the remainder of their life in there. Where they will repent and recount the tales of their life. 

"This may be seen as harsh, but at times... Even a mother must scold their children, must sentence them to a corner for sometime. However, this allotted time? Has no end to it... Maybe should ones soul prove noble across the spam of years? They may be released from their cell, but not of the city itself..."

   

- Death! 

Should a person and their crimes prove to be too much? The corrupted will undergo a proper ritual of cleansing, purging them of their corruption where they will serve a minimum of two years in prison. During this time? The city shall make a vote, to decide on whether the death penalty is warranted. Should it be passed? The execution will be held, publicly.

"Should death be required? [i]We shall all share this burden. A choice not one person can truly make, for every life is precious and every life matters... We can only prove ourselves better. By showing compassion, even in the face of judgment to those who have hurt us."[/i]

  

✸ While the stellus has laid out these punishments, she wishes to ensure the people know that each individual is unique. As with their cases. These terms are simply to be held in mind going forward, to what standards are expected with dealing with the corrupt.
  

✸ Demons in the case of this crusade shall know no mercy. Although much like their supporters? She wishes to have them brought to the church. Each demon will be publicly cleansed, as to encourage the people and lift their morale.

  

✸ We have a justice system for a reason, a prison and many other facilities that can tend to those in need. Although those who wield occultism may be seen poorly by the city? We must tread carefully. To battle them, is to further their corruption. They feed off the visceral nature of combat and such is why we must constantly be aware as to how we procced. In the case of demon supporters? This is no different, they are still human and we must treat their humanity with respect. 

"To kill? Only furthers the future into carnage. All must be brought forward to atone for their crimes. No matter what feelings you may hold on the matter, a restrained hand, is a patient one."

✸ It is expected of the clergy to speak first before acting. Only should their weapons be raised, in defense. No matter how lost out at sea these souls might be. It will never see land, less we guide them to it. There have been many, even within the church that venture out in search of vengeance and while that may have been tolerated before? It will not be tolerated under Silvia's watch. She expects her clergymen to understand the codex beyond its words. To seek out different cultures and understand their meaning. 

"It's only by crossing the cultural boundaries that we can see a different aspect of life... And truly preach towards the betterment of man."

✸ As to ensure even those of the church do not go unpunished, should violations of silvia's will be made? And she becomes aware of them? A punishment shall be made... Befitting of the crime. It can range from one-hundred lashings, to demotion, to excommunication from the church & osrona.

✸ In an attempt to expand the churches influence and strength. She calls out to those who may wish to learn of the magics she and her council of high-priestess/high-keeper wield. More shall be explained in a following recruitment post, but those whom are eager to learn? Can approach the stellus to make their plea.

✸ A City wide expedition has been called for, the stellus while normally one to give all she can away? Would ask this time, for donations to contribute to this adventure. With her blessings in white magic and gift in harmonizing with the lifestream? She wishes to take the people onto a journey of glory, faith and prosperity to it's people. Where they shall? Will be where no man has gone before...

  

✸ In the wake of these announcements, the stellus would also wish to summon fourth a plethora of minds together. Her wish? Is offer onto the church. A legacy befitting of her mission, a symbol for what she stood for. So in the wake of the eventual passing? There yet may be hope for the future...

  

✸ To follow behind this, she also wishes to make calling out to all those possibly gifted already in the arts of white magic or those attuned to the lifestream by any manner of form. As long as it's not corrupted...

The church has remained quiet long enough... While we mature in our ways, towards the path we seek to enlighten. Our efforts will not be in vein, this I will promise you... My clergymen. So once more, must I remind you all. To fear not the darkness, but the idea of failing to save another. With this in mind? Will I declare a future meeting for the church. Now that the followers of Naysien have been dealt with? The time spent thus far has served as recompose. To ensure we don't faulter in this march? We cannot give our enemies time to rejoin, time to rebuild... Generations upon Generations have proved what growth our adversaries can achieve. Should we remain stagnate. 

    

✸ Promotion Galore! Many of those within the church have begun filing into the ranks of Keeper or Priest. 

  

✸ The Stellus including a few of her clergymen have returned from their spiritual trip across the galaxy. It's said, they all returned with more than just insight, but a blessing. A boon, to which all would be wielding to progress their faith forward.

  
✸ With the current High-Priestess expressing their desire to retire? The Stellus is now on the look out for those amidst the clergy who may be worthy of filling the role.

✸ The Church is also accepting donations whilst also hoping to make a statement by having all relics of the Church returned. Her hopes are to arm her people, to the teeth. With all blessed objects she can get her hands on.

    
✸ To finalize, the Stellus has once again formally declared their intentions to host two classes on White Magic. Her intentions are to allow those who have a desire to learn such blessing? Grasping the understanding on a level beyond seeking to manifest it. But, rather? Acclimate them to it as a lifestyle.

"For those who cannot and for who have not yet..."

Members of the clergy, hear me... For those have returned with me from our expedition? And for those who have not... Understand that the situations of our lands are first and foremost... Admittedly? We cannot save the entire world, but that's fine... The lands of Esshar are our priority and only we can vanquish the evil that plagues it. Can we truly venture into the unknown and defeat being left astray... Nevertheless, each experience we make whether out in our journey or here at home. Never forget why we fight, what we fight against... The enemies are knocking onto the doors of the west and gauging their defenses. It will not be much longer before we too or even, moxtli! Faces the same fate, even should galamea defend itself... We cannot remain complacent. We shall continue to both fortify our defenses and improve against our opposition. There is no other choice now, but to fight. 
  
To those in-which we reach out to save? Shall be done for, in the moment. Focus is our main objective here. Realize the threat and its aggression of be swept beneath their march.

✸ With the second clergy meeting being held, those with both a longstanding position and performed heroic deeds as of late. From being a pillar to listen to or standing against impossible odds, for another. Not your own... Have all been promoted. The ranks of Keepers and Priest/ess continue to grow. From the looks of it? The church has amassed quite the numbers, their forces both bolstering whilst maintaining activity in the pursuit of the crusade. 
     

✸ In the recent defeat suffered at the hand of promethia, in defense of Galamea.  The Stellus now urges all members of the clergy to begin delving deeper into the lore of their magics. With the recent pilgrimage had by many members of the church? Her assumption is that they understand more than well, what she means by this. 

  

✸ All members of the clergy have been given details towards the prospect of donations being made to Radiant Wilhelm. To what purpose it would serve? Maybe the Rhyonur themselves would be the individual to reveal the big news!?

- Rumor has it... The stellus is married, but to whom!? Alas, they seem rather intent on keeping their personal affairs, just that.
    
- Artificers and Runescribers could be seen as of late, coming and going from the church. There's talk of all the objects amassed across silvia's lifetime, being put towards ushering in assistance from the spirit realm. 
   
- Sight of the stellus caring for an egg, similar by nature to what creature had most recently been felled by the combined forces of the First Light and Celestial Church. Rumor has it? She plans to see it hatch and possibly? Become once a look of horror from the shimmering cities perspective... To one of hope, as it shall reside as another piece in-which the army of Osrona. Would rise.
   
- Supposedly? The stellus... She died, ever since then? She hasn't exactly been the same. Caught off-guard, absent-minded... Had this been a side-effect or was there more at play?

✸ Going forward, to assist the members of the church in arming themselves? The stellus has decided to join the crafters field of blacksmithing. In this? She also points out those as well who can also do such handy-work. Deacon Joy and Priestess Lucana.

   

✸ The war-efforts on the crusade have not yet ceased either. Although, there is no outward mention on what plans the church seek to take in ensuring the east cannot further their cause. Given the rise of demons as of late however, it would seem many of the priest/ess, are learning the arts of white magic.

✸ Speaking of! The Stellus has decided... Given the nature of time between her clergymen? She shall be teaching the art of white magic on a... PER-PERSON CASE. Each individual will be given two lessons, personally constructed to themselves. As it stems? The growth of white magi as of late, could be seen as a possible foretelling... Maybe the heavens were indeed watching over humanities finest...

The results of what occurred between Promethia & Galamea have been long heard by the island now. Such rumors? Were likely akin to wild fire, spread without rest.
