The Darkness Embraces

After the horrific events that transpired within Novus the Dreadwoods themselves groaned in response. The archways that guard the entrance to the darkened woodlands opens wider as a petite Dryad stands by it. Her blue hair waves in winds of despair, in mourning for those lives lost after Moxtli's irreparable war-crimes against the east.

Quote:

"Words cannot express the sorrow my heart fills with seeing a fellow nation be plundered of its potential, of lives and of its truth.

Novus has stood as a beacon of progress that simply cannot be recognized by the west. Yet the Dreadwoods see you for who you are, and offering refuge to those seeking it during these times of strife. For together we shall unite to take back the lands that were wrongfully destroyed.

For the West did not work to build anything. They've simply taken."

Tents and campfires have sprung up within the Dreadwoods for hoards of refugees escaping by boat and ferry from the casualties of Novus. Under the lead of Nanzopel Tyranny, they are accepted and cared for within the woods. Food, water, shelter and fortitude is offered to them. As well as a promise in aid to reclaim their lands and for the unavoidable vengeance.

However, people on the entrance get frequently spot-checked. Any and all found Draknites attempting to enter are refused with no leniency. A picture of Sol Vanrouge is also distributed amoungst dullahan guards to be barred entry if he so desires. Yet his family is welcome to stay.

Any and all complaints are to be directed towards Nanzopel Tyranny or her butler Roland.

In the aftermath of the destruction, of a monstrosity being released by those who claimed to slay the very horrors they unleashed, Novus follows the call of aid.
Standing amongst the rubble of her city, Eris Vorso has a bit to say on the matter.

Quote:
"Just as we have for the past three decades, the City of Scholars gladly accepts the aid of the Dreadwoods. It does nothing but ease my aging soul to see a Tyranny respect the words and promises made by her ancestors in the creation of our two settlements. This was a mighty blow made by cowards who wish to take down the East's weakest link, who believe attacking researchers and those living peaceful lives is something to be prideful of, but where they have hit their peak Novus has time to grow.
We have far more to learn.
I encourage those of Novus to make their way to the Dreadwoods, for the Vorsos and Tyrannys have always worked in tandem.
In this tandem we will reclaim our city and rebuild.
Blessed over death, blessed beyond life, we continue to uphold our responsibility."

Even the founding family whose home was destroyed in the attacks makes their way toward the darkened purple forests of their neighboring city.  Those from Novus who are able, are encouraged to seek refuge within the Dreadwoods amongst allies.

Rumor has it Eris Vorso was seen directly marching to speak with Nanzopel Tyranny, for the Chancellor of Novus already had plans for retaliation.

The decimation of Novus reaches the Major-Domo of Promethea swiftly enough, and it is not long before he makes his public reply.
Quote:The city of Promethea is glad to accept new citizens within our walls. Novus has been destroyed, and already fine Novitiates like Aldwyn have found their way here. There will be no eastern effort to restore a destroyed city ravaged by pandemonium; those who wish to live behind safer walls and sturdier industry may find their home within the bastion of dark progress.
The timeless machine had spoken. All those of Novus displaced by the tragedy are welcome to come find homes and service within the border city of the east, but there will not be efforts made to restore the old city.

Quote:Of course, if you're determined to squat on that scrap heap, there's plenty of tents in the Dreadwoods assuredly. You'll feel right at home.
