"We do what we do because we must."
"You occultists are a blight upon the world."
"You must be cleansed."

Upon the deck of the bride, a lone siren stands there with a bottle of blood wine in hand, her gaze locked out to sea, overlooking dark and starless night.
Quote:"..."
Cerdryn shifted her weight from one foot to the other, enjoying the quiet rocking of the sea before climbing onto the railing and parking herself upon it, letting her feet dangle as she took a long swig of the bottle's contents.
"Damn you. You said you wouldn't wander too far."
A hand rose up to her head to pull the circlet that belonged to the last king of old Atlantis, driven mad by the deep. She ran her finger over the morigul and silver surface. Alot had changed since she first arrived in Esshar didn't it? When she arrived, there was a hole burned through her soul at the lost of her crew.
Her family.
Now here she was again, another hole burned in just when the other one was starting to feel normal.
Normal.
What was normal to her? She worshiped a creature that was inherently alien, fell in love with a man who sought to create a god and traveled to weird and strange places for treasure and loot.
"it would be nice to settle down one day, get an island...cook food for you and the kids if we have any."
She shifted upon her spot on the railing of her ship, taking another long drink from the bottle.
Then it was too much, the water the ship rested peacefully on began to stir, shift in response to the siren's state of mind, spiking upward in rough waves as she let out a deafening scream of agony.
Of Pain.
Of Sadness.
Of What was lost.
Of Rage.
She stood from her spot upon the railing, balancing upon it with practice that could only be gained from years of doing so, the waves still crashed in the distance and against the sides of the ship. Her yellow eye reflecting the moons light back out into the dark sea.
A wide tongue ran over her sharp teeth as she glared out into the deep of the sea. Hot and anger filled tears forcing their way down her face. It was rare that she ever cried, even more so that she would do it out in the open.
"I got your message." She growled out to the open ocean, toward a deity that was trapped at the bottom of it. "I see why 'm up here now. On this backwater nowhere continent." She moved along the railing until she reached the back of the ship, hopping down and gently tapping the wheel as she moved toward the other side of the ship to stare back toward the shore.
Back to where she could see it.
The Shimmering City.
"Don't you worry a fucking bit. 'll make sure everyone else hears it too."
