The Old Ways failed our people when they came here to settle once before, the Vanir of Aesirheim grew soft and weak and in their weakness gave the home they'd built by their blood and their gold over to the Rhoynish without a fight. The Old Ways failed my father and saw him hunted like a beast, body pierced by dozens of spears with his home burning around him. So is it any surprise that the Old Ways failed Clan Maekir, a group of Vanir that speak so boldly about doing things differently and setting out on their own path, yet adhere so strongly to the way their ancestors did things.

Clan Maekir too, was soft and weak. They were easily bought by the same enemies we once swore to put to the sword with the gift of some ancestral ruin.
They betrayed themselves in that moment, just as they betrayed the alliances they had not yet fully secured with Promethea and Nanzonia.
And now their Jarl, Meiroida the Bloodshark is Dead.

The time for the Old Ways has passed. They will not be forgotten, nor truly forsaken. Yet neither will we be bound by them in a hapless march to a destruction of our own making. We will carve out a path of our own, by blood and by steel, and by any means necessary. So it is that with the backing of a Prince of Nanzonia I found my own clan, Clan Ulfheonar in memory of my fallen father.

A Clan for True Vanir who will not falter, who will not shy from a fight, who will not let fear rule them, and who will not be bound by tradition.
Join me brothers and sisters, join me on this wartorn land of Esshar so that we might subjugate the remnants of Clan Maekir and conquer the Shadowed Savannah for ourselves in the name of the Triumvirate and in the name of Clan Ulfheonar!
