How are you? Hope you and the rest are well. I'm sure you're worried sick now that I've left the burrow, but I hope you can understand given the circumstances. I am fine, and am healthy. Admittedly, it has been

(ahem)

quite the hectic few days.

Let's see... You remember the hunter who lived close by right? A week ago he'd finally decided I was ready to graduate from being his apprentice. Only had to hunt down 3 boars for it and you know how hard I've worked for this, so it really would've been easy.

I'm still not really sure what happened though, even now.
I know I took down one of the boars, at the very least. The next thing I know though, I'm lying in a pool of my own blood, with what I'm almost certain was a blade of some sort stuffed into my back.

Well, as you know when I came to, I was already in this human settlement.
Apparently one of the rat people you told me about when we were little saved me and brought me all the way here. She said I'd been run through by a boar, and that she'd carried me for days to get medical treatment, but...

She'd left almost right after, so I didn't even get the chance to ask how to get back.
...Really, I wish you'd taught me more about where we lived, like the name of the forest at least...

A kind human helped me find a room where I could sleep though, so I'm alright for now. He said I didn't need to repay him, but I'm sure I'll find a way to eventually.
