Have you ever been to Galloch-town,
Where each day is bright and green?
Have you danced upon the flower-fields,
And the faerie-folk have you seen?
Did you kiss your girl beneath the branches of the willow tree?
Mayhaps you'll find a richer place, but Galloch is home to me.
Two years now have passed since the hamlet of Galloch went silent. Once a peaceful, pastoral settlement of Brittanian immigrants loyal to Esshar, the settlement fell beneath an onslaught of undead creatures. To this day, nobody knows why the settlement was targeted. What is known that only one Mage - the town's priest - stood in defense of the settlement when it was attacked. What's also known is that no survivors have been found yet, none save one: Anwen of Galloch, the orphan turned mage.
No patrols have been sent to search the hamlet in the last two years. After all, it is small and insignificant in the grand scheme of things. And so Anwen, now eighteen years of age, has begun to make plans of her own to investigate the ruins of Galloch. What happened to the villagers? Did any of them survive? Why did the undead attack? And most importantly for Anwen, the adventure is a hunt for closure, a chance to find her family... or bury them.
And so Anwen plans the expedition, and makes prayers to Saints Mikhail and Niles for the safety of the Magi that will investigate and the protection of whatever refugees from Galloch may remain.
