To claim a title proper, one must earn the right to declare it for themselves.

Such designations hold power as all names do.
 

From the Waystone a challenge is issued by none other than one of it's employees.

The words of Maude Korosu spilling out into the lands beyond, carried on the lips of merchants and travelers alike.

"To all on Esshar who practice the art of using your own bodies as weapons, I challenge you.
From this point forward I declare myself the Living Weapon of Esshar.
With this declaration comes an invitation, for any whom meet the criteria to come and duel me for my title.

This challenge will last for a single year beginning now.
If you are confident in your ability, then come and take it from me.
Beyond this year, I will only accept proven challengers.

So come to the Waystone, take your best shot.
I'll be waiting for you."

The first challenger approached, Andriel attempting to claim the title for himself.
Those spectating claim it was not a one-sided victory by any means, but it was Maude Korosu who prevailed in the end.

A second challenge was fought, the Illuminated Alexios Taiyang II making his own attempt for the title.
The Waystone arena echoed and shook with the force of the explosions within, but were soon silenced as once more Maude Korosu remained standing.
