For an instant, she kneels to the red carpet, mingling with his own ichor.

Gruesome news slips from the palace in the dead of night.
Some servants whisper of a judicial debacle playing out in the throne-room. Guards speak in hushed tones of a blue-haired noble seen transported somewhere unknown under a white pall.
Fewer still say they saw the Queen herself run her own blood and kin upon the point of her sword.
Only on the following morning did a formal missive issue forth from the Queen's counsel,
Quote:"Under much suspicion and evidence, Myrios ven Pelleaux has been found guilty of treasonous sentiments and activities against the crown.
For these crimes, he has been sentenced to death."
The palace remains abuzz with hearsay and gossip... but it's also said that Myrios' husband has been since confined to the dungeons for suspected involvement.
Where the corpse was delivered remains a topic of much heated debate, though one of the Queen's own stewards appears to contest he was buried in an unmarked grave beneath the Celestial Church. A final show of due deference for the blood of the stars.
