Perdition
#1
[Image: unknown.png]

The corpse of Alanis vey Grimmore was loaded onto a small wooden raft, set off the cost of the Shimmering City. Her uncle, aunt, and cousin pulled down shimmering stardust to destroy and burn the remains to reduce it to ash, leaving embers to spread through the sea beneath the Leonaus Constellation.

Letters sent out, not just to those who wished to recover her body, but also to the Waystone’s Proprietor.

Elysia,

We wished to bury her remains beside he manor, her home, but you seem a little too desperate to get your hands on them. No attempts to bring our niece back from the dead will be allowed.  It has happened once before with the Docros, leaving a plague of vampirism to run rampant across Esshar. Alanis’ remains are gone, let her soul rest.

Whilst I wish things could have ended differently, Alanis could have been saved from her curse. Antares should have remained locked away, everyone saw what it turned her into. If you believe in what is right, destroy the book or return it so proper measures can be taken.

May the stars guide her soul to redemption.

Uncle Majin,

I’m no stranger to betrayal. I won’t preach to you of what is right and wrong, I just wish you followed a different path.

Everyone saw how you reacted the Alanis’ death, I wish things could have gone another way. You obviously had something special with her, and for that, you have my deepest condolences. Just as Elysia was informed, her remains have been scattered to the sea. My husband and I wish we had the honor to know our niece better, lead her down the right road. Antares should have never been meddled with, and we were all shown why.

The sweet, young girl we all knew can rest now. Let it stay that way.

You will always be family to me, Uncle.

Your niece,
Tessa cos Gardios
