Quote:The Path of Asekanism

(From the word Ase | na and Sae | kanis and a portmenteau of Shamanism.)

The path of Asekanism isn't exactly very popular. Similar to Shamanism, the Asekanite believes in the balance that the two Divine Wolves bring. Those that profess to follow this path fully accepts that both Divine Wolves are required to be in Balance for the good of the World. Their argument is that that both are necessary and thus seek to maintain the Balance between the Divine Wolves. Followers tend to use an insignia of a white wolf chasing a black wolf who chases that white wolf, endlessly.

Those that practice Asekanism are known as Asekanites, and all share the belief that while Asena keeps Saekanis in check, Saekanis is needed or Asena would never change or grow. As death is needed, so to is life. This happens in an ever continous circle. They firmly believe that either one out of balance could lead to either a wasteland or stagnancy. Both would corrupt the world. Thus as Saekanis brings the 'hunger' and 'death'; so too, does Asena bring 'succor' and 'life'. Thus both are needed and must kept in a balance.

Followers of this path practice the magic of the Summer Storms. Where storms represents the balanced way in which nature cleans itself. Thus the practictioners will tend to only use Air magic and its specialties. The Asekanite is more willing to respect other ideals, ideologies or religions. They also must serve both Divine Wolves evenly and understand the neccesity of Saekanis to bring Death, so that Asena may bring Life anew. They also believe that there can or should be a balance in all things. The only true enemy of the followers of Asekanism, is Belial and the Void Entities, such as the Deep One. Otherwise they try to be reasonable to all other cultures and a degree of respect of other Divines.
