Within the abode of a particular cadet of the Second Dawn, a notebook rests atop the counter of his desk; flipped open to it's first page, titled 'A Hero's Code.'

It reads as follows,

1. Never neglect the meaning of a life, even your enemy's. They may have family or fiends that rely on them - save slaying a foe for when it is of the utmost necessity.
2. Strength is important for not just you, but your allies. While you may wish to protect others, you should uplift them to the point where they can comfortably protect themselves.
3. You are not a one-man army. Accept help when it is offered.
4. Always be courteous and understanding of others. Do not make decisions without understanding the other party's views.
5. If you have a goal, do not give up on it.
6. If a fight is able to be avoided, then you should do so. Senseless violence isn't the way.
7. Protect those close to you with your very life. It's in the bleakest of moments that true strength can be born.
