State of Esshar

On this day we have shown the enemy the might of the Osronan people, the ferocity of the lion imbued in each and every one of us. Time and time again have our enemies sought to paint us as spineless, as weak, yet today we have proven them all wrong, and shown them that the restoration of the monarchy does not simply stop there.

For the Empire of Esshar shall be restored.

For centuries has our land been embroiled in internal disputes and conflicting ideals. Foreign pretenders who have laid claim to land that rightfully belongs to the Astyan people. Dragons from the north, an ever expansive totalitarian state from the west, and vampires from the south. They have made a mockery for all that we stand for, seeking naught but our division and destruction.

Utilizing 'mercy' as a means to see us tear each other apart, preying upon our good nature and stable morality, all the while partaking of darkness. That is what they have done for ages, for decades, yet we as a people will no longer stand for it, this is where we must put our foot down.

Our ancestors did not bleed so we may make fools of ourselves. Our forefathers did not sacrifice so that we may live in contentment. Malziel did not deliver us retribution so that we may spit upon his faith.

Each and every one of you proved that the spirit of Leonaus yet exists, that his courage and honor still runs in the veins of his followers, those blessed directly beneath his constellation. I could not be prouder, as your Queen, as your leader, knowing that my people brandished their blades to keep darkness at bay.

But our march is not yet over.

We may be entering a period of peace, but this is merely the beginning. The years to come will be a period to bolster our forces, to train and prepare. You may not realize it, but the greatest war of our lives is yet to come, and we must be prepared for it. Even if our enemies stick to the shadows, even if those who seek superiority ruffle their wings and beat their chests- we will stand poised to strike, to defend our home and faith.

So rest, enjoy the time you have, for when the horn of war is heard again and the beating of wings is clear, I will need you all to stand as my blades.

-Queen Eisele rei Petrakis

Immediately following their victory at the Battle of Starfall, the Order of the First Light has been recalled to the Shimmering City, to begin preparing for an undisclosed conflict. Even if they will have a brief period of peace, it would seem the monarch has set her gaze elsewhere.

Upon ascension to the throne, the newly crowned Queen restored the Order of the First Light, to stand as the protectors of the realm, and the blade of the Petrakis monarchy. An elite force which will stand as both sword and shield for the people of Osrona. A new oath and knighting ceremony is included, with squires replacing cadets, among other reforms.

In addition, the Queen has seen fit to raise both house Gardios and house Gelmont to noble status, their ancestors to come enjoying the honor and 'cos' particle henceforth. An honor which all of Osrona will remember for generations to come.

Furthermore, the previous royal edict declared by then Princess Eisele will remain in effect as she takes the throne. From this point forth those who commit sedition and treason will be executed without a trial, with no exceptions. There is no room for mockery, nor 'stupid' mercy.

With the honorable demise of the Crown's Champion, Ael cos Gelmont, the Queen has seen fit to name the Stellus, Claramonde akh Gardios, as his successor. She will stand as the Crown's Champion henceforth, and serve as the personal blade of the Queen in disputes where it may be required.

With victory declared at the Battle of Starfall, the Petrakis family is preparing a celebratory gala to be held within the castle. It will be restricted to Osronan citizens, and is not open to allies unless personally invited.

With the loss of Ael cos Gelmont, there is an opening in the Crown's Guard. Interested individuals are urged to speak with the Queen.

The Queen is reportedly looking to promote notable youths to leadership positions, potentially becoming ministers. Those who distinguish themselves as particularly loyal and proactive will be granted authority, but must not ask for it.

"Raze it. Rebuild it. Riot. Start your reign. It doesn't matter to me."

- Marina Vranovo, Former Crimson Monarch

Missives are quickly spread about the grounds of the Cainite Citadel with news of the recent changes and occurrences.
An eerie silence seems to hang over the remnants of the once feared Kingdom.
Few figures seem to even linger in the streets... Only the papers that bear the royal insignia hold evidence of these truths.

-
  • The efforts to destroy Starfall Academy by the forces of Asphodel would be met with a narrow defeat. While well fought, there were several casualties on both sides
  • Following a declaration by Marina Vranovo, the Crimson Court of Asphodel has henceforth been disbanded. Any and all stragglers, are encouraged to find sanctuary elsewhere.
  • Those truly desperate are encouraged to write a letter addressed to Johannes Vanreth... Though promises of safety are not guaranteed.
  • Marina and Blair Vranovo have since seemed to disappear from the public eye.
  • As it stands, there is no present leadership.

Many changes have occurred within the Coat over the recent years. No longer is it home to the few devout Fireblooded, but home to all who praise the Dragons, proper.

⟐ The Ebonblooded have sank their teeth into the Coat, some of which have taken the title of Dragonlord. Lianne Naysien being the next in line to lead the Coat, as a whole. Foster, as the residential Coal Golem.
Boreas has attained the title of Dragonlord, one of the respected members of the Fireblooded.
Noel Serpente, descended of the ancient Therian Line, has attained the title of Forgemaster. Given by the elder dragons, rejected only by those whom wish to dwell in the pit of Wyverns.
⟐ An expedition to Sluthia has been announced. Any resident of the Coat willing to risk their scales is welcome to join, at the risk of their own scales. Any with questions regarding this expedition are welcome to approach Lianne.
⟐ The so-called Fireblooded, who turned to Osrona in defiance of a proper offering to the dragons, are henceforth exiled. The former Warlord, Sigurd, is welcome to challenge any of the current Dragonlord's should they find issue with this.
⟐ Those deemed as traitors to the Coat are henceforth enemies of the dragons, free to be hunted at the discretion of those who truly revere the dragons.
⟐ In light of Osronan's attempting to hinder the rite of sacrifice, and the declaration of war, any mention of a treaty is a showing of heresy and cowardice. Peace Brigadiers are now kill on sight.
⟐ As a less friendly reminder, undead in any shape way or form are banned from Garjlng's Coat, and are kill on sight.

The City of Crime - 1874 AC

Ever since the Red Monarch's destructive rampage, the throne was left vacant and the city became home for The home of bandits, misfits and monsters. Different factions scattered across the city, fighting against one another to take over the reigns of the city. Well, that time has come to an end as the new emerging wave of banditry and the monsters decided to merge. A small, weakened Lapine thought to be dead accompanied with the chef of bandits take the stand.

Quote:"It is time,

Misfits, freaks, bandits, petty thieves, substance abusers, monsters.
The ones who nobody want. The outcasts of Esshar.

Let me tell you somethin"!

No longer you have to run.
No longer you have to hide or pretend, for you now have a home.. a home called..

Asphodel, the City of Crime Opportunities.

So don't be shy! Don't be afraid! You, who was always mistreated...
We will welcome you with open arms

But for those who don't attend on joinin' us or take away our freedom...

Well, I hope for your own sake your pockets will be full.
Because if money can't buy your life... the monsters would gladly have a snack.

- Samina

 - It is official, the Ogre Clan and White Falcons join hands to become one settlement ruled by two, Havoc the Bandit King and Samina the Monster Queen!

 - People from all horizons and backgrounds are welcomed to join the settlement. There are no Gods to worship but two principles to follow, the pursuit of Freedom and Coin.

 - Yaron, the Champion of Nyx who had betrayed the Ogre Clan and seemingly murdered their leader was killed by none other than Samina herself, signing the definitive end of the Shadowmire.

 - The rules and relations established by both factions still stand even as they merge.

 - Proclaiming itself as the City of Opportunities, Asphodel is more than happy to trade with the outside world. However, the city and the leaders take no responsability if anyone is attacked or robbed by the denizens of Asphodel. C'est la vie!

1875 AC - The Year of Completion.

A decade has passed since the announcement of the Ilian Clan and Aesirheim's merger, though nothing productive had come out of it, save for the Festival of Natasa, hosted by Katrana Haukulos. Jarl Vigr Dyr had long since taken to a reclusive life, leaving Aesirheim within the hands of Ragnhild. During that time, not one, two, but three attacks had been either cancelled, or crushed and counteracted by other means. Regardless, by the end of it all? Vanirhalla and Rhoynish have co-operated, completing the merger once and for all.

In it, the Princess of the Clan expresses her resolve.

Quote:"There was a time when at the mere mention of our names, the Gods quivered and men trembled. A time when we marched, the mountains would move aside to let us pass and the trees would bow in utmost respect for us. A time when us men and women were conquerors- not slaves. For years, we've roamed and explored like the adventurer we were, made friends and enemies, took on contracts and fought for others, formed clans and built forts across all of Esshar. But whilst I'm proud of what our ancestors accomplished thus far, I can not help but to think that in the lack of our proper home- we scattered and became weaker. Always offered to be absorbed in another city- to be forced to adapt to customs and traditions that are simply, not our own. My people, I believe all this time we've been held back held back for they fear what we are, what we could become. None of them want us to be one. They would rather have us be split across Esshar so we're forced to live with them.

Well that time is resolute for we have a roof-- we have a home now and is name is Galamea. Built on top of Aesirheim, our home is arid, inhospitable, covered in sand, in dust and when comes the night, it is filled with monsters of all shapes and sizes who sleep under the sand when the sun shines upon our side of the world. No, the desert is ruthless both burning and icy cold, it does not welcome us with open arms- but there is one I'm most certain of, if one people can tame the sands, it is us. To our home of sand, dust and poverty- I make the promise, the oath to flood our city in water and turn our inhospitable world into an oasis of wealth, knowledge and power. No longer we'll look at Osrona's walls and tell ourselves how impressive they are, for ours will stretch out to the stars. No longer we'll envy others for we will be the diamond amongst gems. People of Galamea, I make you this promise, our legacy shall become so unforgettable- we shall still exist."

- Samina Dayndros, Princess of Galamea.

- With Katrana Hauklos stepping down from the Leader figure, Kaine Dayndros has been crowned High Lord.

⚳ - Despite the tension and conflict and tension between Aesirheim and Fort Erradir for the past four years, it has been absolved by Lorespeaker Katrana.

⚳ - Samina Dayndros has officially been welcomed into the Clan, crowned as Princess of the Ilian.

⚳ - Plans to not only expand, but change the settlement's name to fit the unification of both people has gone well. Galamea has been chosen as it's name.

⚳ - Vigr Digr has finally conceded; Ragnar Gunnr has been titled Jarl.

⚳ - With a portion of the White Falcons being discretely handled by Kaine, their cancelled battle had played a little factor in stopping Galamea, Samina heralding the counterattack on their City that would be victorious.

⚳ - A new system of military and citizenship has been obtained, it is encouraged for both Rhoynish and Vanirhalla to work their way up in various tasks.

⚳ - The next Festival of Natasa is in the works, though rewards and plans are being discussed.

Quote:
During the entirety of the year; those bandits who inhabited the city have been making changes to ensure the place was run more like a city and less like a temporary hideout for their group. During this process ranks we're created and a handful of promotions we're handed out to those to ensure the city has some sort of order. After the last meeting it was put to a vote to change the cities name from Asphodel to Daggermark

There we're a few words offered by Havoc
Quote:
As we begin to transition there are a few changes that needed to be made, and that will continue to be made. The first order of business is housing, and we've come to an agreement that if you aren't a citizen of Daggermark we will take the home and repurpose them into something that will benefit the city. If you wish to keep citizenship it's wise for you to seek me out, and explain how you might benefit from our growth. The second order of business if for any lone Teraphim who feel lost and seeking to find their way, our very own Wisteria Hlaan is offering to teach those about the Weaver. If this interests you she asks you to seek her out to discuss this further .
.
While our numbers continue to grow we've made room for those who just wish to be citizens of Daggermark. You don't have to be a bandit; however, you must explain how you're willing to contribute if that's the path you wish to take. Furthermore the toll is absolute there is no debating it; however gambling might be accepted. Any issue you have about the toll you must take up with the head Enforcers they will likely be present at the front of the city. Finally if you seek to become a bandit, White Falcon is still accepting members; however, there are other roles you may be fit for. It would be wise for you to inquire before blindly accepting titles.

1877 AC - The Split

"We don't want snakes in here."

Quote:
⟐ - Following certain events, Kaine Dayndros and his followers are banned from the settlement upon decision of the Jarl and the Council. Samina Dayndros comes forth as the new High Lady of Galamea.

⟐ - With that announcement, all plans to move Fort Erradir to Galamea are forfeited. All ties are cut with the clan led by Kaine Dayndros. The merge is canceled and the Rhoynish, divided. A completely new fort is to be built within the settlement to welcome all Rhoynish who wish to side with Galamea.

⟐ - Despite the change of plans, the first phase of the settlement's reconstruction is nearly completed. Rumors say it is only a matter of days before the people of Esshar can appreciate the settlement's newfound beauty.

⟐ - The Great Hunt organized by the Tribesland of Rhoynur was a great sucess. Many Rhoynish had the opportunity to pass their trial and earn their gold armring. Galamea seeks to extend its friendship towards the Tribesland of Rhoynur and consolidate current relations in hopes for intercontinental trades in the future.

⟐ - The Triumvirate Church has seen some reforms, most notably the titles such as Alsherjarl have been restructured and the process to name the Alsherjarl-now Gottspeaker, has been refined (https://chronicles-of-esshar.com/forum/s...6#pid51476).

⟐ - The Blood Forge has been the source of a recent surge of passion and begrugance from the residents of Aesirheim as of late, word has it that the 'Gottspeaker's Pipedream' as some have taken to calling it has had a key piece of it all but secured, and that she's placed two of the Church-Lagneia and Sutoka-in charge of finding Artificers and Magi to begin construction on the project. One should contact them if interested.

Four years after the creation of Daggermark, it is time for further change. No longer will Daggermark be the city of the bandits, but instead will be dubbed the formal crime city.

Quote:"We've experienced a few bumps over the years, but such trials have only made us smarter and stronger. From here on, Daggermark will be a formal city with an established government.

With our growing city, we encourage those seeking homes outside the traditional Essharan cities to come join us in Daggermark. Those who wish to visit are now welcome thanks to our abolished tolls, we invite any interested in trade or simple tourism to come discover the new official city of the East."
