Ever wanted to strike it rich? Tired of wasting all your hard earned coin on crates you know for a fact won't pay out more than you put in?

Have you ever wanted to make riches off a game of chance, but wished there was a modicum of skill involved?

House Kallis would like to invite you, (almost) all of Meranthe, to a game of Aphros Hold'Em.
Details:

This isn't just any game of Aphros Hold'Em poker mind you, this is an event for the extravagant and the wealthy, as such the buy in will be 20,000 coins. Allow us to further explain the rules:

A minimum of 5 players, a maximum of 8 depending on interest, will be allowed to participate in the tournament. Each player buys in with 20,000 coins, allowing them 18,000 chips (Kallis takes a 2,000 coin cut).

This means with a minimum of 5 players, for 20,000 coins one lucky player will win 90,000 coins, as it is played until every player but one has run out of chips. With 8 players? That's a 144,000 coin win for a 20,000 coin buy in.

But wait! There's more to win!

If you bust out, it's not over for you! Kallis will allow at least one buy-back for this event. This time, for 20,000 coins you can buy yourself back in with 15,000 chips (The Kallis cut increases to 5,000). This gives you the opportunity to win all of your money back and more! This means if you can beat your opponents and they all decide to buy back in? That's 165,000 coins in your pocket with five players, 264,000 with 8 players! You could be set for life from just one game of poker.

If the game proceeds too quickly? We'll allow a second buy-back, this time being 20,000 coins for 10,000 chips (the Kallis cut increases to 10,000). If you manage to win the tournament with all players buying back in twice? You'd win 215,000 coins with 5 players, 344,000 with 8!

In short? You can make a lot of money for a measly 20,000 coins.

As for the rules, Darius Kallis, the dealer, will double the blinds as he sees fit to make sure the game proceeds at a solid pace. The game functions as any other game of Aphros Hold'Em, with the exception of the blind positions moving one spot clockwise each hand. Don't worry if this is confusing, just play!

Please note, you will need to sign up for this poker night beforehand.

The first five participants for the first ever Kallis high stakes poker night have been decided!

There is still a maximum of three more slots, if you'd like to join! The date though has been announced.

Event will take place on Friday, 6pm EST.

We'll possibly be opening up gambling as well! If you would like to bet on a winner, reach out and your bet will be recorded (You MUST be able to give your bet to Darius Kallis BEFORE the event). If the player you choose wins? You'll win double your bet!*

All you need to do is send in how much you want to bet (Minimum of one thousand, only one thousand increment increases), and on who!

*Please note that if there is an overwhelming disparity in player betting, the system may be scrapped entirely and your money returned to you. The house always wins after all, can't risk a 500,000 payout on a single player.

(If you would like to join the poker tournament as a player, or if you would like to bet on a player, message Malek#3450 on discord saying you'd like to enter OR with the details of who you're betting on, and how much you're betting.)
6th entrant: Antoinetta de Loraine
7th entrant: Mephistopheles
8th entrant: Mariette Whitfield

"Are you feeling risky?

Are you feeling the hunger for glory?

Are you feeling that you're this close?
To keep playing?

For power, for gold?

To the promised mountain of coin?

How far will your desperation get you, and what are you willing to give up in order to achieve the treasure, or perhaps the thrill that comes along with the journey?"

Ensemble under the conductorship of Tobias Sombra is once again going to be performing at the Kallis-hosted event, although rumors tell that the master performer is taking requests to perform at other events too, if approached prior to the event taking place in order to discuss the details.

Another side of the rumors seem to be telling that the conductor is using a similar manuscript on his performances along with other ones, although oddly enough, it's impossible to read, as if the language and notes written in it are barely comprehendable to anybody but him, a true mystery. But one that brings bliss to one's ears to hear in play...

A long night of dealing and betting ensues, but a winner is finally declared.

With the final round being between Cassidy Cain and Kamilla J. Lyndon, Cassidy offered to make that match a winner take all.

The Kallis poker night concludes, Kamilla leaving with 162,000 coins and Kallis taking their 18,000 coin cut.

There may have been some bumps in the road, but we thank you all for joining us! Look forward to the next Kallis event, already being planned.
