Alabastre: The Sunken City of Secrets
#1
[Image: LlHYiR3.png]

Years after being built, engineers discovered that the city of Alabastre was on unstable grounds. With a decision to face the then-Queen of the City of Secrets, Parsley, choose alongside the elders of the city to preserve as much of it as possible. Using the knowledge hidden deep within the city’s spire a dozen of powerful magi willingly sunk the entire City of Secrets.

As the years passed the city’s name and fate was obscured, leaving only a handful of individuals to even remember it existed in the first place and a single man to know of its precise location. Treasures collected by the Lorespeaker, his friends, and his family were all tucked away in the depths of Alabastre’s remains, awaiting those dedicated enough to risk their lives in pursuit of knowledge. In the deepest parts of the city’s spire lies the greatest treasure of them all: The Eye of AlabastreShrouded in mystery, it is rumored that only those who meet with it eye-to-eye will understand its purpose.

In recent times talk of the City of Secrets can be heard once more; from hopeful Osronan Cadets to determined Achyon researchers, from honorbound Fireblooded Acolytes to spiritually-aware Moxtli tribesmen, from treasure-hunting pirates to dragon-hunting slayers.

Rumors in the air speak of a disturbance at the bottom of the sea...

(OOC Note: A second post will be made to announce the exploration of Alabastre to be open to all. Event requests will have to be made after the second post. Every event in Alabastre will be a fairly lethal CoD that may call for retreat. It is suggested you do not attend these events if you are not RPL 200 at the very least. These are meant to be explored in large groups of six to eight as a faction effort. More details will be attend on how the event requests will function in the second post.)

Below Ilburg.
Sewers under Osrona.
Within the Vale.
Waters south of Starfall.
Clouds far above the ocean.
Caves north of the Fireblooded Temple.
Mountains behind the House of Wonders.

It was the last day of 1825AC when bright lights of blue and green brought to life beams that pierced through the heavens themselves. The phenomenon lasted a few minutes at best, yet newspapers all across Esshar would speak of the events. Bold adventurers and reporters who reached those areas were all met with the same message:

"Alabastre awaits those who need it most."

The Sunken City of Secrets had all of its entrances revealed at once with a foreboding message inviting those who do not belong to stay out of the area. As with all things teams of reporters and adventurers followed the entrances.

This was the last time anyone has heard of them.

With this in mind, nations of the world have received a clear warning not to send the unprepared within the ruins of old. And yet, they remain open for all and any to explore.

((OOC Note: Exploration to Alabastre is now possible for any group who wishes to go. For any group to partake in this they should be above RPL 200 and have a party of at least six.
Furthermore, when going to Alabastre a group has to determine two things: Their goal and the theme of the items they seek.
Alabastre itself is designed to have FOUR different levels of difficulty, this ranges from your regular CoD event on the first level to expecting death and suffering of your party members on the fourth level.
Be certain of how much of a risk you wish to take when making a request.
Naturally every request should have an experienced DM, it can be someone else than myself so long as they get briefed on everything by myself or the admin team.))
