TheoriLore Supplement: Osronan Rank Addresses
#1
There are many individuals of rank and status within Osrona, and many have a specific way in which propriety insists they must be addressed. Failure to use such forms of address may be seen as insults, and whilst rarely worthy of calling a duel, may still have negative consequences. In contrast, some individuals holding such rank may waive the necessity of such propriety in favour of something more informal. Where necessary in the following examples, 'Elijah Soleis' will exist as the placeholder name.
Quote:
Rank Addresses of the First Light
Knights are to be referred to with 'Sir' prefixed before either their given name or surname, ie. Sir Soleis, or Sir Elijah.
Radiants are to be referred to with 'Radiant' prefixed before their surname, or 'Sir' before their given name, ie. Radiant Soleis, or Sir Elijah. It is generally considered disrespectful to address a Radiant their given name without first being granted permission.
A Lightbringer is to be referred to either by 'Lightbringer', or with 'Lightbringer' prefixed before either their surname or given name, ie. Lightbringer Soleis, or Lightbringer Elijah. It is generally considered disrespectful to address a Lightbringer by their given name without first being granted permission.

Rank Addresses of the Faith
The Stellus is to be addressed as 'Your Celestial Grace' in its entirety, though 'Your Grace' is a commonly accepted abbreviation, and unlikely to be seen as disrespectful.
Keepers are to be referred to with 'Keeper' prefixed before their given name or surname, ie. Keeper Elijah, or Keeper Soleis.
Deacons or Priests may be addressed as 'Brother' or 'Sister' followed by their given name, but this is not a rigid expectation.

Rank Addresses of the Nobility
Any Noble above the age of fifteen is to be referred to by 'My Lord/My Lady', or with Lord/Lady prefixed before their given name or surname, ie. Lord Elijah, or Lord Soleis. It is generally considered disrespectful to refer to a noble by their given name without being granted permission. However, it is not considered as such if there are multiple nobles of the same gender and family present in a situation, given in this case one's given name is the distinguishing factor.

The ruling King or Queen and their consort are to be referred to as 'Your Royal Majesty' upon first address, after which 'Your Majesty' is considered an acceptable abbreviation. This form of address also applies to widowed Queen/King consorts.

The first-in-line for the throne is to be referred to as 'Your Royal Highness' upon first address, after which 'Your Highness' is considered an acceptable abbreviation.

Any other members of the royal family are to be referred to as 'Your Grace'.
